I’m graduating with my BSN in 2.5 months and I’m so excited! I want to go into either the ER or ICU and your video reminded me of how far I’ve come and how much more I have to learn once I start work and I can’t wait! Thanks for all of your videos they are really helpful/inspiring.

I think the main thing I'm a little worried about is transitioning from student to nurse. Even if you're a quick learner... still don't know if your colleagues think you're an annoyance or will spare you because you're still new at it. Lol hopefully the second option! Everyone's got to start somewhere. Some people forget they were once in that predicament though.. 😅

I'm comforted by this video I've been looking into an accelerated bsn program and even applied to some programs for the fall. Previously I was gonna go to grad school but I am hating the career aspects of it. Right now I'm graduating with a biochem degree and I only need 2 pre reqs left I've already applied to some for the fall 2021 cycle so hopefully I keep the momentum going and can become satisfied!

I’ve heard of other nurses getting a 2nd nursing job cause they only work 3 days at the 1st one. Do you think you’ll ever get another one and work 2 at a time 😂

It’s not worth having two nursing jobs. Nurses work 3 days because they have every long shifts

So I’ve been a CNA for about a year and half now at a hospital where I live. I’m having a hard time choosing between nursing and pta. I work on a med-surg unit and all the nurses I ask about nursing they say don’t do they regret it due to the stress and responsibility. I need to make a decision soon and have no idea what to do.
@kaynenbrown51023 жыл бұрын
Hey, great question. It’s very important to understand that no matter who you ask, in every profession there are people who highly recommend their job and people who highly discourage it. I would highly recommend nursing. There is no perfect job out there! Which job do YOU like better?

Youe videos are awesome! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm so nervous and already tired of the prerequisites right now. I finally finished microbiology but my school requires that I get a 85% or higher on the teas exam because my school is so competitive. Unfortunately that's what's keeping me down from being a nurse. Any advice on studying for the teas?

Have you ever thought about becoming a nurse practitioner? Because I think I want to become one in the future. Have you ever worked with them before? And do u know what the differences are between your job and an ER nurse practitioner? I am not sure which one to do.

Study AP and math. No need to go crazy with it. Just to keep things fresh. Get a NCLEX book to familiarize yourself with the type of questions and exams you'll see in nursing school and to practice drip factors etc...

So I’ve been wanted to get in the medical field for so long. Took so many shots but none have been able to provide for my wife and kids. My question is, how can I work and go to school for nursing? I want to take the plunge and go for it but the financial struggle while going to school seems daunting. Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it!
@kaynenbrown51025 жыл бұрын
Abe Yoked Hey man, there were plenty of people that work during nursing school in my class!! Many had kids and husbands/wife’s. You just have to prioritize your time. In terms of the cost, there are some pretty affordable 2 year colleges that offer associate degrees in nursing.
@AestheticAbe5 жыл бұрын
Kaynen Brown, BSN, RN thanks for the reply! I suppose I was more focused on the content being so intensive that I was worried I’d be able to excel in school if I was working as well. I want to be a nurse I know that, but I’m not sure about working and going to school. Never done that before, always been one or the other. The one I plan on going to is a 2 year, just competitive to get in. Helps that I am a military vet I believe. Thanks again in advance!!
