This bike is NUTS for just $6k. While taking a first RIDE of the 2021 Kayo KT 250 2-Stroke 250cc Dirt Bike we found it to be unmistakably well built. With an MSRP price of $5,299 this bike comes in at about half of what the competition is selling for... Check the bike out here for more information:

Why you shifting like that? Hit that powerband n let her breath. It's not a 4stroke lunker
@offspringrocks08
@offspringrocks08 4 ай бұрын
Please stop shifting so soon. 2 strokes are designed to be ridden at the top of the rev limiter, not the bottom like a 4 stroke. It sounds like you've never rode a 2 smoke before.

Thumbs up once again for the content creation! What fuel to oil ratio do you run? What does Kayo recommend? What brand oil do you run in that KT 250 with the pre-mix? How about in the transmission? Thanks again Kyle.
@MotoCityTV
@MotoCityTV 2 жыл бұрын
Kayo recommends Torco oil mixed at a 30:1 ratio. I have not gotten my hands on a manual for the KT as of yet but the sticker on the rear fender says to use Torco and 30:1 or engine damage may occur.

Why a short pipe? That equals less low to mid end torque.

The low end was soft and tractor like... mid range hit HARD and the top end peetered out... quickly.

The KT250 needs to be put through a better test ride. People need to see when the suspension bottoms out, how it pulls through a good muck hole etc. Going through knee high puddles would not be a bad test either for water proofing. You need to find a better place to test it and maybe ride next to and on an enduro course etc. with similar sized 2Ts. I think a current and average dirt bike rider could raise the product bar a few notches. No offence intended, I just think the bike might be short changed in the video, but then again maybe it's shown within its usable environment. As it stands I will pass for now.

Seems I've heard you talk about how you just lift the front end up and go, several times between this and a previous video on this bike, but don't recall seeing that happen, I wonder if this bike actually has any low end torque, and can readily do just that. I hear that is does, here, but haven't actually seen it demonstrated. Do they offer a torque, dyno chart on this bike? Yeah, I know; good low torque, great mid torque, less on the top end, but I think most of use would like to see that actually demonstrated, or at least the hp/torque specs, charts etc. We know it's not going to be 50hp etc, but I for one, would like to know that its peak hp for example is better than say 16hp.
@MotoCityTV

For sure less top end. I did lift the wheel many times in POV but it's not too noticeable... like straight up hills in POV look flat. Anyhow... its a neat bike.
@bikersoncall
@bikersoncall 2 жыл бұрын
@@MotoCityTV The bike is very cool, I agree. I re watched the video, I know a wheelie or wheel coming off the ground when I see it POV, horizon, shadows, etc, plus you showed the front wheel quite often, I would say you didn't have the camera on at any time that you 'simply pulled the front wheel up' . I'm not looking for a wheelie monster, that isn't my point, not that you said it was, just saying, I'm looking for a bike that can do that for technical riding over tall obstacles, tractor tires, logs, etc, from what I've seen so far, this is far from that machine. I'd like to be shown different though, as I really like just about everything else about this bike.

@@bikersoncall I'm sure you must have noticed that he's not good at riding a two stroke, and I'm quite sure it has the ability to raise up the front end, but this guy must be scared to get into it or he just can't ride, which I can tell by the early shifting.

If this is the same platform as the GPX TSE 250r then it runs a Yamaha 230 DT engine which was produced by Linhai in China anyway so, actually it is not a clone at all it is a Yamaha DT 230 engine in a KTM copied frame. Here is another interesting tidbit, KTM non competition 4 stroke engines are produced in the CFMoto plant in China. That means when you ride a Duke you are riding a Chinese powered super motard. My buddy has a GPX TSE 250r and so far every engine part was completely compatible with Yamaha DT 230 components. That engine was never supposed to have explosive MX style power it has a more mild tune and wider ratio transmission for dual sport riding. My CR 125 with an Eric Gorr 134 kit in it would enialate that thing in a straight line but would not handle cruising around town due to the revs that doing so would require. For what it is intended for and the cost of ownership it is a fantastic bargain. If you want a race bike you buy a used Husaburg, Husky, KTM, or KDX 220R. For an adventure bike on a budget it is an excellent offering.

@@killacoiler1707 The heck is that "chinese powered" word? Lol. 😂 You mean made/fabricated in China? Man, CF Moto and KTM looks the same coz they're both designed by Kiska, the CF Moto hyper naked bikes are just basically downpowered versions of the much expensive KTM dukes. Also, KTM dukes are originally designed by Bajaj, and Indian motorcycle company. The duke 390 and the Bajaj Kawasaki Dominar 400 are identical when it comes to engine specs. KTM non-compettion bikes aren't made in China.
