Kayo vs Polaris Youth ATV Buying Guide!

I bought the Kayo 125 Bull last year for my 7-11 year olds. I called Cole on the phone and I would have traveled up to Wisconsin and bought from you but you were out of stock at the time. To parents reading this I have not had any problems with the ATV other than on a cold start, but that's typical with any small carb machine. As a novice that's more into cars what I see in this youth class is Kayo is I believe the best china brand. Are they Honda or Yahmahas No. But in this category for recreational use non competition this is a pretty solid atv. I would say that the more expensive brands like Honda, Polaris and Yahmaha will have significant advantage in the resale market. If your just wanting to get something to expose your kiddos to learn I don't think this brand is all that bad. Add to that the fact that these are sold in name brand motorcycle shops like Suzuki and if you do have a problem you can get it looked at. I would suggest buying it from a place like A1 Powersports over the strip mall china ATV shops you see around. Now on the second year I'm looking at getting my son 8 yo a Honda Dirtbike due to the resale ability now that I know he enjoys the activity.

I bought my son a kayo bull 150 when he was 9 when we first took it ridding he went into about a 10 inch puddle and it got flooded and water logged and if wouldn’t start I had to drag him down the mountain and he keeper getting suck on little stumps he had grippy tires and when we got back home and put a new air filter and wiped the carburetor out it started up and it was fine until his chain keeped coming off so when he was 10 I bought him a Honda recon 250 because the 150 was a little too smallbecause his knees were over the gas tank and kept having problems and so I bought him that 250 recon and we can go through 2 feet mudd holes now and water holes I raised it a little and put some better tires it was a 2006 model and it still had the base tires still on it and we go through those muddles and water holes and it doesn’t get water logged and the chain doesn’t come of and it dosnt get high grounded on little stumps and its all over a good quad so buy them a 250 when their a little older the only thing I dislike about Honda is the age bc it does 0cc to 250 cc and that rlly the only thing I don’t like you can get your son a 150 kayo or a Polaris is just a bit better but I recommend not buying a 200 cc kayo the Honda 250 has a throttle governor on it

Is it worth the extra money for the Polaris or other youth models with the big brand names?

Polaris does have their advantages over Kayo but for the price Kayo makes a great quality machine. I always recommend doing your research and buying the machine that best fits your needs.

I have a 125 coolster for 30 25 b I think I was able to license it and turn it and drive it down any street except for a major US highways 🇺🇸

That's awesome! Each state has different laws, in Wisconsin there are select counties that allow you to ride them on the road. Hopefully soon we can all enjoy our atvs on the road.

They dont give top speed rating on them but somewhere between 15-20 mph depending on the riders weight.

I dont what to buy to my son. The 2022 Polaris® Outlaw 110 EFI… or the 2022 Kayo 200 jackal? Or the 2022 Polaris® Phoenix 200??? His 9years old. But i dont wont something to small . he already has experience riding dirt bikes 11cc and 150cc motorcycles thanks for ur help

I cannot recommend these atvs for a 9 year old, they are designed for children 10 and older. And the Phoenix is for kids 14 and older. But what I have found with kids and their first time on an atv you are safer going with the recommended atv and if they out grow it you rarely loose money on youth products. And you don't run the risk of scaring them with too big of an atv that they aren't confident on.
