That little bag is the overflow bag. Only shows up when your inventory is full. Everytime you talk to the NPC that gives the Subscriber buffs, you get a new Subscriber Town Services. They last for 14 days. You can delete the older one. It serves no purpose. Be careful if you select "Move to use" in the UI options and Enable Movement Assistance in Combat in Combat Options. You may find yourself attacking when you didn't want to do that.

These are great tips! A couple others I've picked up: 1. You have to manually turn on the induction bar to be displayed in the UI menu. This helps immensely when trying to see when enemies are casting so you can use your interrupt! 2. If you really want to slow down and enjoy the journey through middle earth, you can purchase an XP disabler through the LOTRO store for 100 points. This is an equippable item that you can have in your inventory so you can turn your XP on/off if you begin to over level in a zone. I usually equip mine when my quests are starting to turn blue/turquoise/green in the log. Cheers!

A tip I would like to add is to unbind or change the keybind for the Target Lock-on, which 'X' is the default for and can be easy to accidentally press. And maybe consider turning on Enable Movement Assistance In Combat in the settings. Also, don't turn on Combat Animation Blending as it 'breaks' some animations, like Lore-master's Gust of Wind.

great video for new players coming into the game. A hearty welcome to all! I just found out about the new legendary servers, so I guess it's about time I returned to LotRO as well. Best game ever, look forward to seeing you all on Angmar! I may even start a toon on Mordor so I can have fun with everyone! good times. My only regret is that the legendary servers aren't really classic servers in the sense, they're just level locked current servers. So It's not the complete experience, but it's definitely the best way to start fresh or get going for the first time!

Okay, I guess I need to start being more thorough when I first start playing games like this. I had NO IDEA you could disable combat music. I just kept the music off because it was annoying me so bad every time I hit something the music would change then go back to soundtrack then 1/2 second later combat music again and so on. I actually paused the video at 1:57 to write this, I’m sure there are more epiphanies ahead.

Haha the combat music was one of the most frustrating aspects of the game when I first started so I feel you there!

Just a word about the Subscriber's Jug. You showed you repaired your stuff, which means that even though you have the Jug, you haven't actually clicked on it. That activates the no repair function and nothing will ever wear out while it's working. Once activated, it disappears from your inventory a few hours later or you can just drag and drop it to get rid straight away.

Maybe worth a mention that subscriber town services (VIP item) has access to the auction house from anywhere in game, i didn't find this until level 30

What about all the annoying task items that drop of almost every mob. Is it best to just sell them all? It takes time to do the 4 tasks per day for almost no xp and probably not so important reputation?
@Caerulean2 ай бұрын
You can just turn in and keep 1-2 stacks of 50 per day (for the 5 starting cap for tasks per day). Keeping stacks of different task items is less economical for bag space and unnecessary since you can turn in the same type over and over until you're capped for the day. (The benefit, though, of submitting different types is you can turn them in all at once instead of going back and forth from the task board to the receiving NPC/object. In some places, though, they're close together.) Reputation is not overly important but it has some nice perks like Return skills that you can get. Also rep deeds grant LOTRO points.

Lv 125 captain from arkenstone here. The game is about the journey,the stories. Your characters are basically in the j.r.r Tolkien lord of the rings books. Gear is secondary because you get gear from crafting,going on raids,big battles,other group content. Or trades.
