Rodriquez is amazing. That being said, I do notice that in a lot of drum set reviews the performers fail to really show the depth of the drums and make them a centerpiece of the performance. Jamming, laying down grooves and using mostly the snare and cymbals is not giving anyone a full understanding of the actual drums. Just a note to those making these demos. I have found that Sweetwater does the best demonstrations as they focus on the design and engineering of the drums as well as walk you through individual sounds.

You are right but I only clicked to see him play lol. Just like when nick at sweetwater plays, he can be reviewing cans and I’ll click to hear what he comes up with lol

Yea but in all honesty theres so much on youtube its good to have a mix. Sweetwater is good for a true natural demonstration with info but I enjoy the channels that do more live/ studio mixes. For studio guys its much more important to hear the recording mix than in person. Channels can afford to do it either way because theres enough others to cover what you want out of a demo. Sweetwater is usually my first stop or DCP. But then I look for drummers in studio environments. Gotta have a mix.

I know this is supposed to be about the kit, but I’m too caught up on that left side oriental crash he’s got. That thing sounds gorgeous!

An azuka hand crash. Discontinued model i think. And this one seems a bit larger than the common 15"

You didn't hear the drums. You heard cymbals and the snare. This guy is trolling drummers left right and centre

Too much background synth and cymbal crashes. Really hard to get a sense for the actual drum sound.

I wish they had this kit in hyperdrive size toms I would buy it but not a big fan of 10x8 12x9 rack Tom sizes.
@tsonsofpar4 жыл бұрын
4 piece kit is 10x8 and 12x9, 5 piece kit has 10x7 and 12x8. Still not hyperdrive but a lil better

I thought this was meant to be a demo of a shell pack, which is the bass drum and toms, so why does he hardly use the toms at all? What's the point of this?

Amazing drummer I hadn't heard of him till now but WOW he can move around the kit. Also more of just the kit next time less background music.

Sounds like a Zildjian and moongel advert. Cant hear anything except cymbals and a snare devoid of any overtones.
