Protobanham brought it back to Japan, where they thought it was hilarious. Then summit comes around the next year, all of the Japanese players are saying it and they think it's hilarious, and it's just kinda stuck since then.

Playing one stock against Kazuya is a death sentence. You basically have to play perfect in order for him not to get a single opening

That isn’t very hard to do depending on your character. Kazuya is slow, stubby, and has one of the worst disadvantage state in game. In fact that is usually how Kazuya loses often.

This clip is amusing out of context, but watching the whole crew battle is something else entirely! You see Mkleo bring back his team from a 5 stock deficit, beating both shuton and proto with only a single stock lost in both cases. Then, you see Tea approach and wonder if maybe, just maybe, mkleo can pull off this miracle of a comeback and three stock Tea, something that I'm not sure he's ever even done. ...And then Tea just wins in 20 seconds with a perfectly executed kazuya combo. How anti-climatic it is makes it that much more funny.

Every individual piece of this video makes it possibly my favorite Smash Ultimate clip ever. MK Leo has to start with one stock, and gets pissed on in with a zero-to-death, seconds later. Tea is up, posing like a dickhead (for a time longer than the match lasted) as the commentators mockingly say, "K A Z U Y A M I S H I M A", laughing the whole time. All the while, Leo sits sad and confused in the foreground. Then the "KAZUYA ISHIMA" comes across the bottom of the screen, just tying the whole deep fried meme nature of the thing together. God, this video made me so happy.
