@@QuantumBunnyyyNah it’s the other way around. Stan isn’t even funny; he’s just dumb and annoying, Roger cries and runs off every episode, and Stan’s son goes through the same ol usual school thing(s) which they recycle every (edit: OTHER) episode. The only one on that show that’s funny is Klaus.

Pickle Rick is the thing that I hate most about this show. It shows how degenerate its fans are. Most of Rick and Morty are pretty solid 7/10 tho.

The Mr. Meeseeks episode is one of the first absolut blast episodes. The fact that Rick told them to keep the ask for help simple and Beth and Summer had super complex ones while Jerrys was the super simple one but in the end it was his simple Quest that lead to all the problems is just hilarious 😂. And best Meeseeks quote: "Existence is pain"

believe it or not , Rick is Saturn ( the god of Time ) in the episode where Rick fights Zeus (Jupiter) , Zeus looks like him because Rick is his father . what about Morty? Morty is ADAM KADMON ( primordial man ) God created the entire universe through ADAM, not Jesus. Morty is literally the TORUS FIELD of the entire UNIVERSE that's why Rick always says to him "Morty, everyone is NPC except us." Not sure if you will see this: But Wubba Lubba Dub Dub 1:02:15 in-universe, means "Somebody Help Me, I'm in Pain". He says it in a language that very few people know to mask his feelings and seem goofy when he is just a depressed old man who is barely holding onto the last remaining scraps of his humanity.

The reason they seem like Doc and Marty is they ARE Doc and Marty. The show is an expansion of a series of animated shorts called "Doc and Marty" implying that Doc in the movies was a pedophile, which is why he hung around with a high-schooler. There is also a bit of early Doctor Who.

"Existence is pain for a Meseeks!" That episode goes hard. The show is wild and hits all over the place with parody, references, and disgusting comedy, but sometimes it also hits on some great themes and does some interesting societal criticism. The character of Rick is so bizarre and eccentric. Does he really care about anyone else? Is he the real villain here? His narcissistic mad scientist persona makes the moments where he cares all the more impactful.

Originally, Dr Who was a scientist Grandfather who had a home lab and he built a time / dimension travel machine, that he traveled in with his granddaughter... So Rick and Morty is kind of an American dysfunctional riff on the original Dr Who premise. Even the opening music has shades of the original Dr Who theme song.

@@awesomearsam1890 Not really - it's just younger generations don't have a head for classic Dr Who (1963). Back to the future only travels thru time - Dr Who travels thru time/ space dimensions, like Rick does with his Portal gun and Morty is related to him, like the original Dr Who (William Hartnell) was related to his young sidekick granddaughter. But I can see how younger generations jump to the "Back To" source. Even the theme uses eccentric and electronic instruments like Dr Who - not a symphonic style theme "Back To" does. But let's face it, that was a jumping off point for Rick n Morty. Now R&M is its own animal now. Using its contrivance to satirize and lampoon Sci Fi and much more.

He drools like that cause he’s a functional alcoholic who is constantly drinking in episodes. Fun fact: the actor who plays Rick, would drink tequila before he does his monologues recording. So every time you hear Rick burp, slurs or stutter, that’s cause the actor is drunk off tequila

The accursed algorithm never sent me the poll. I would have voted for Community, but seeing one of my favourite reactors start on R&M is great too. The show gets a surprising amount of heart and emotional intelligence as it goes on, you should definitely stick with it. Also, I promise that the Jelly Bean King is the worst the show gets, I don't think it ever gets that gross again, not in that way.

You seem to have watched a lot. Like, really apricating the concept of entertainment itself. If it is a franchise I know have so much soul and love in and around it it's One Piece. It will slowly consume your whole life. You should really look into it :)
