I have that same rake from y’all and I absolutely love it. I dig quahog clams with it down here in North Carolina. I’ve clammed my whole life using the cheap scratch rakes from the local hardware store. I got this rake 3 or 4 years ago as a Christmas gift, and my average haul per trip tripled. The tines are razor sharp. The craftsmanship is impeccable. The basket size and handle length are an extremely efficient combination. The amount of effort this rake takes is a fraction of my old scratch rake. My wife is a little smaller. She didn’t know if she could handle a basket so I got her the longnose skinny scratcher rake y’all came out with last year. This is her second year using it. The Sunday before thanksgiving, using those two rakes, we dug 108 clams in under 30 minutes. We weren’t tired afterwards. We actually went on to dig a bushel of oysters, and still had enough energy to load everything in our canoe and paddle back. We use your wire basket. My wife also has the Essex 4 long reach that she uses sometimes. We love your products. If you ever need help with product testing, let me know. I’d be happy to help. If not, no worries. I’ll still be using your products, gifting them to friends and family, and recommending them to whoever. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told folks to check out clamming.com!
