What interval? Every 100K? Curious to know how you do the dif oil change. I've only found a couple videos on here of people doin that. Not a lot of repair videos on this car in general, would like to see more. Stay up Kb1Gang.

what was the mileage of the motor at the time of the belt and water pump change>? thanx

It’s routine to do so every 100,000 miles. This car was around 155k miles

I recently had this done to my 08', however the mechanic didn't put in the oil seals (91213-r70-a01 and 91212-r70-a01) as I still have them in the box. Should I worry?
@dj_d.r.a.e. Жыл бұрын
It’s only a worry if you were already leaking at the front main seal

Hey question: I also have an 08, and I’m watching this video because I have knocking under my hood and I’m thinking it’s my timing belt. Did u hear the same thing which led to u changing the belt? Just wondering because I’d love to know which direction to go in. Thanks!

Ik its been a while but I was wondering two things. 1 What timing belt/ water pump kit did you use? (Only 6 minutes into the video so sorry if u already answered that). 2. I'm thinking about getting the Aisin kit but I'm a little skeptical and would prefer to just go OEM if not for the price, what have u heard about that kit if anything? And 3. Where did u get that A-spec bumper from?
@dj_d.r.a.e.2 жыл бұрын
Aisin is the oem kit

Thanks for the vid, really helpful. My KB1 just passed 200k yesterday and I just ordered everything to do the same service. I was curious about that little trick you did to break the crank loose. Is that sketchy? Seems like the ratchet might slip or strip the bolt. And did you just flick the key or did you hold it?
@dj_d.r.a.e.2 жыл бұрын
I always use that trick, never had the issue. You want to flick the key because you don’t want the car to start.
@dongjinlee9461 Жыл бұрын
Has your car kept original timing belt whole time until 200k? or had the timing belt been changed before 200k?
@Big_Slick Жыл бұрын
@@dongjinlee9461 No. I bought the car used at 150k but when I did the service I could tell it had been done before. The service reminder just came on too and I'm guessing that is set to go off every 100k miles.
