There have been teams swept in the Finals before, but there has NEVER been a more destructive Finals. What the Spurs did to the DEFENDING NBA champs is historically devastating.

Honestly for me, this team is the perfect example of how beautiful basketball can be, when teammates share the ball and develop a good chemistry among them. To this day, I can’t recall a team who moved the ball like the 2013-2014 spurs team.

No doubt...I was in junior high when they came into the ABA then later the NBA. A Fan from Year One ! The stories I could tell you. Greatest shot ever made and I was there... George Gervin going for a loose ball in thee very corner of the court. As it's almost impossible to retrieve but he catches it. He whom is thee first man to lead the league in scoring not one but 2 years in a row....He makes the shot off balance from behind the backboard. It was incredible. Unbelievable , NOTHING BUT NET ! I KNOW , I WAS THERE ! SAW IT FIRST HAND ! THEE MOST INCREDIBLE SHOT. AGAIN RENDERED BY THE FIRST MAN TO LEAD THE LEAGUE IN SCORING NOT ONE BUT RATHER TWO YEARS IN A ROW ! "THE ICE MAN" GEORGE GERVIN #44 AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT PEOPLE !!!

The only finals series i actually watched and enjoyed all games, i was a heat/lebron fan at that time but i am a basketball fan, and by watching the spurs play is just really amazing because of the ball movement/passing. Nowadays, deep threes doesn't amaze me, passing is the most beautiful art in basketball no question

The 2014 spurs got revenge on the mavs Texas division rival whose won 2 west crowns and broke up the spurs potential 2006 3 peat title run winning game 7 in San Antonio and beat them 4-1 in 2009...they got revenge on okc for 2012..and Derek fisher for all their playoff battles over the years like 9 playoff series with 3 different teams including 5 conference finals at least 1 for each team lol 2 for okc 1 in Utah and 2 in la..not to mention okc as a team ..and of course the heat ....sadly Joel Anthony mike miller Jarvis vernado and juwan howard weren't still on the roster ...then it would have been truly sweet....Howard was part of the coaching staff so there's that and Jarvis was out of the league...Joel Anthony signed with the spurs last season...funny how he got swept with them...and mike miller is still getting them checks ...

I've always respected the Spurs for their amazing ability to contend for such a sustained period of time, especially being a market that always was ignored compared to places like LA. As a Raps fan the 14' Spurs remind me a lot of my 19' Raptors...Kawhi and Danny look so young here but their experience really helped us. So thanks Spurs for molding them into the players they've become.
