Go to Walmart and in the kitchen section get a dish scraper used to get stuck on stuff off dishes it works great and they’re cheap!

Good choice with the black stock - there's something about a deep, rich color that makes the rainbow foil absolutely pop. Just curious, about how long does it take the Minc to emboss the foil? Naturally, there's no point in showing that step in the process, but I wondered how long it took the machine to do its thing.

Totally agree, Keith. That cardstock and foil combo really works well, and I'm hoping to revisit it for a future project. Good question about how long it takes to foil something. I've never actually timed it, but my guess would be about 2-3 minutes. It can feel like forever, though, because I always want to get to the "peel and reveal" part! ;)

Thanks for indulging my curiosity, Kristen. Knowing absolutely nothing about the process (aside from what your videos have taught, of course!) I would've guessed something closer to ten minutes. Compared to that, 2-3 minutes isn't bad. As you point out, though, when you're eagerly awaiting an unveiling it's forever. Well, what do you know - Einstein was right!

How about printing on fabric then using foil?

BeatlesFanSonia - I haven't tried using this with fabric, but I think it could work well on something that wouldn't need to be washed.. My biggest concern would be whether it would wash off if you needed to wash the fabric.

Kristen // k.becca I think laser printer toner is washable but I’m not positive. I know that when you print on paper, it doesn’t smear with moisture like ink jet ink. As far as foil is concerned, it says that it can be used on fabric and it goes on to recommend how to wash it. The biggest problem I see is that fabric is porous so it doesn’t hold enough toner to make a good bond for the foil! I am going to try it and get back to you!
