Does she have any idea how many wives nag their husbands just to hear "I love you" once in a while? Yeah, I imagine that hearing something so often takes away some of its charm, but I would rather hear it everyday and know I was loved than never at all.

Well, I agree, but you have to admit that the husband is very clingy. It's nice that he expresses his love so often, but sometimes it can be suffocating. Remember, the whole reason why they didn't have kids in the first place was because he wanted her undivided attention and love.

I think she exaggerated that part. I don't sugar coat things and I'm pretty blunt so I will be the one to say that she doesn't care about that man. When you first date or get married the honeymoon phase is REALLLL and you just want to be with your significant other. Also not everyone is ready to have kids automatically after marriage especially if they just started their careers and got a house/apartment. Adulting is hard he just wanted to focus on work and his wife which is completely understandable. But she is taking it too far. I believe she has always been selfish and has gotten what she wants. After a while she knew that she hooked him and when her sister had her baby she might have wanted to have a baby as well but has lost interest in this man mainly because all she has been doing for 12 yrs is stringing him along and focusing on the fact that she couldn't get what she wanted at the time. So now she is obsessed with her nephew and makes her husband who she really has no interest in do everything for her bc she thinks he won't leave. And I'm happy the husband admitted that this situation was partially his fault and he allowed it to get like this. He's spent 12 yrs of his life taking care of her and being ignored and when she hesitated to say that she loves him back I believe he realized that he had been foolish for so long. He is in a relationship with a women who doesn't care for him and isn't willing to change and he should divorce her to be completely honest. Also I understand raising a child is hard so her family especially her sister is very appreciative of her doing so much for the baby but I feel like out of respect and concern bc tbh the women is being borderline if not completely creepy towards the baby but out of respect she should tell her sister to stop coming over so much and focus on her own life and marriage and try to start your own family. If the family realizes that what she is doing is weird and wrong they should stop her and not let her continue to be a creepy aunt or terrible wife. What wife leaves her own home for 2 months and doesn't call her husband, or spends her husband's money on $1000 worth of useless books her nephew won't even use in the future she is what you call selfish and batshit crazy

Apurva It seems that it's the wife who made him that way. She said him having a hobby is unacceptable & that they should be in the same space at all times. She's selfish & is taking his humbleness for granted. It seems like she's the kind of women who does whatever they please knowing the husband will forgive them because that their nature. He loves her & from the way she talks she loves him too. I think she wants to have a child but like she said is scared of the outcome. Don't know exactly what she's sacred of... maybe that all the attention would be taken away from her or she won't be able to do as she please. However the problem lies with her and not the husband. All I can say is that the entire family seems to be under her thumb because I don't care how close we are as sisters there are limits. So, perhaps she's bitter and upset with her husband? Well good for him to earn his karma. If it weren't for this woman's persistence to her nephew, do you think her husband would change his mind and finally agree to have a child of their own? If she didn't act clingy the way she did, I bet her feelings, loneliness, and regret would be silent and unheard as she quietly would mourn her loss in life, like most women who regret agreeing into a child-free marriage, do. Ya'll are seeing his pov cause he came in on the show, so he's portrayed as a protagonist of the story. This poor woman is mourning her loss of parenthood. can ya'll imagine if that loss (to have children and ever become a parent) and regret ever became so heavy that it would cause depression? it's good that this woman is able to keep some positive outlook on life. once she reaches the age where the chances of her becoming pregnant and realistically carry a healthy child diminishes, she'll probably feel a little different. right now it's just denial and what-ifs and "oh, maybe that could happen", but come 40-s that's when her regret to not have kids (that she seeming wants really bad) will be heavy and severe.

@@zaynabmimi612 point is, as is the problem, is that this marriage consists of two people with different and polar values and mentalities. one wanted to have kids (but sacrificed not to) and the other didn't. With a mismatch on basic values and beliefs in marriage these two people shouldn't have gotten together in the first place. It doesn't matter who'd sacrifice as either person who've made the sacrifice in regards to having children would probably be unhappy and regret their choice - unless by some miracle that man would fall in love with the child once the kid came in to the world and all his talk about child-free marriage wasn't as deadset as we perceive it to be. chances are, the husband would be just as miserable as the wife, had the situation been reversed. so the problem lies in their choice to go through with marriage despite differences in something so important and vital to a relationship (the personal opinion on children).

Ironically those are the relatives that treasure you the most. So I wouldn't hate them so much if I were you. You are fortunate to recieve that kind of love. There are people in the world who grow up orphans or lonely. Those so called people you hate the most took their time out of their day for you because you were worth it. Life is funny. Her husband said no to kids so his wife would give him her undivided attention. Very selfishly wanted to be the object of so much adoration. Now he sees another person getting an unhealthy dose of undivided attention and realizes what harm he caused her. I think they should try for a child or adopt. kris Sharp even though I accept he was completely selfish, she should've really considered more about marrying him in the first place. Children aren't a convenient 'get a marriage, get one kid without the social stigma free' deal, they are a life choice. And while I do agree adopting or trying for a child may work, it's still risky and may end in more heartbreak than it's worth. BUT if they genuinely communicate, like I said it may be able to work. Nonetheless, having a child shouldn't be a convenience to fix a problem like this, it should come from a genuine desire to dedicate the rest of your life loving and caring for your offspring AS well as respecting your spouse.

I think she was taught by him to give undivided attention to him. It wasn't enough and her attention was diverted but also with the unhealthy focus she learned being his wife. He still is like a child wanted her not to have healthy boundaries but to return to giving him that undivided attention. They both should be serving others, perhaps they should have a child? I think they should do volunteer work together as a couple. He needs to be selfless and she needs to let her nephews parents raise him with a healthy weekly visit. You voiced your thoughts very beautifully and eloquently btw 😊 And realistically yes, they both have an issue of having to hog someone or other's complete attention which is wrong, but I wanted to be blind to that since I feard there was no solution. But your solution makes perfect sense, concentrating on their child will not only give the wife the motherly feelings she craves but also gives the husband diversion from his wife, learn to give love and attention to others, this way I think the wife won't feel suffocated and she'll crave his attention again even. Technically, but the kids still his nephew through marriage. My dads sister is my auntie, and her husband is my uncle. Growing up i never thought of one as 'more' family than the other. Then one of the solution is to divorce. Will you spend all your life with someone that don't want a child while you want one? That's a stupid thing to do if you want to be happy. At first as they explained BOTH of them didn't want it. I have 3 questions to the wife. First, what will she do if her husband finds another woman while she is with her nephew? Second, what will she do if her husband asks for divorce because he doesn't feel her love for him anymore? Now imagine if you were in her shoes: you loved a man so much but wanted to have children and start a normal, regular family like everyone else. your boyfriend at the time says kids ain't his thing and he's not planning on having any. Now sitting there and contemplating on it for a very long time she decides that she loves this man so much that she's willing to commit to a child-free life so as to not lose her man or end this relationship. well years down the line when everyone around you is having kids of their own and you can no longer ignore or fight the instinct and immense desire inside of you to have kids, would this man who "strung you along" for 12 years until your ovaries dried out and the chance & possibility of ever conceiving kids went out the window, would this man look as great? she tried to fight her instinct and desire, but she couldn't. 12 years is all she could tolerate -which is actually a lot. The problem lies in the fact that they married and committed to each other despite having such vast and different values and outlook on marriage. They should have discussed having children before they got married because children is a major factor in marriage, and clearly they didn't. The husband could have said not now but let's see in a couple of years but dismissing the idea of children all together just to have his wife's undivided attention is a bit selfish on his part. I understand what the wife meant that she's was afraid since she was 38 but she had nothing to be afraid about since many women can have a healthy pregnancy before the age of 50. On the other hand, she is being too much involved in her sister's household. She needs to understand her role and boundaries because her nephew has a mother and father already. But she is trying to be more of a mother figure and push her husband to be more of a father figure, which I would have been insulted if I was her sister. She has to understand she's the aunt and that she needs to call ahead of time, even though they are next door neighbors, to spend time with the nephew AND her sister and husband. As for her other issues with her husband, she took his love for granted because she knows how devoted he is towards her. She needs to be more affectionate with her husband otherwise he will eventually get tired and stray away.

They do need to have a child. That's probably the best fix to this issue. I agree that it is wrong and uncomfortable for her to be visiting her sister's house all the time, but the husband definitely has a lot to do with it. You can see clearly the hurt in her husband's eyes. Oksam is very selfish and inconsiderate. She's doing what she loves to do because she knows that her husband will forgive her no matter what. I don't know if you watched the episode or if you did decided to do selective reading, but she did want to have a child with her husband. Her husband's bullshit excuse of not having a child with her 12 years ago is not wanting to have to share her attention with their own child if they had one. HE ONLY WANTED HER TO PAY ATTENTION TO HIM AND NOT EVEN THEIR DAMN CHILD had she had one. If anything, this is karma biting him in the ass for such a selfish reason. Although I still find some faults with Hello Counselor, one thing I do appreciate is when the person that the concerned letter addresses gets a chance to speak, we get to see how much bullshit the person concerned puts into the letter while leaving out their own dirty laundry in order for the audience to favor them. I love when idiots like the husband gets exposed because he's just as terrible as her for refusing to have a child because he feels threatened by a child taking all the attention from him when it takes TWO PARENTS TO RAISE A CHILD. Also it is not just HOBBIES...she SAYS "He needs to be in the same space" with her all the time. yet she does whatever she wants...leaves him to work their shop by himself...there is a maternal need...but leaving for two months or leaving work and disturbing her sister house at close to midnight...she needs help.
