Thanks for another great video. After the second receiver approached and connected I was able to discern the lights on the receptacle and the (tiny) light on the end of the boom. My respect for boomers, which was already pretty high, went off the scale. Best wishes to that young man currently in training, and keep up the great videos and fly safe.

The reality is setting in that the -135's are approaching their sunset. I have fond memories of SAC and "A" models from my crew chief days with the 379th BW. I'm fortunate to have seen aircraft I've worked on still in service 30 years later.
@ohioflyingfarmer70509 ай бұрын
You may be right, but I've heard the sunset comment for about 15 years now! She's been a good bird, but all good things must come to an end eventually!

I've worked on many airframes during my tenure as a mechanic, both USAF and civilian. Worked on Boeing, Lockheed and McDonnell-Douglas jets. The KC-135 is still my favorite. I'm a volunteer at the Selfridge Military Air Museum. They have a Reserve "T" model unit there. Looks like they will be trading them in for the KC-46 in the next couple of years.@@ohioflyingfarmer7050

Good video Rod. After many deployments to the ME, the one group you didn’t want to come home with was the A10’s. With our fighter f16 brethren, we could quickly get them back in a reasonable time frame, so we were all in bringing them home. The A10s would increase our redeployment time by 30%, so dragging them across was not something we wanted coming home. Not their fault they fly so slow, but it was always a trial when tasked.

We will be selling last years calves in a couple weeks and then we'll begin to prepare for our new crop of calves towards the end of February. No barn upgrades.
