KC and Kasey's Fantastic Factory (The TV Show That Never Happened)

Towards the end of 2017 KC and Kasey entertained the idea of a television show working closely with Watt Pictures for 6 months.
This is the Sizzle reel that came from it and was pitched to a major network.
I put a lot of hours into it so I figured I'd share it with the public to see what you guys would have thought about it.

Same reason most car shows are not good they want 2 week car builds that are unrealistic and he probably didn't want to end up like most bad car shows. Quality suffers when deadlines are short.

Not sure how this video is 2 and a half years old and only popped into my suggested this morning. I watched all the kc paintshop videos and loved the quirky series you guys had going. After reading some of the comments it makes sense why it disappeared, but i'm glad to see that K C is keen to do a new shop tour. look forward to it and now subscribed.

Discovery gave the greenlight but KC turned it down. This was at the same time he started buying all the other business and thought it would be a bad idea for a TV show.

Brilliant video. Used to love Kc's KZbin channel. Seems like the Dallas Hot Rod TV show bubble burst as alot of good shows have been pulled. Cannot think of a good one at the minute on Discovery. It's seems the producers took efforts to make the show into American Hot rod and we know how that turned out. Great video Erick

I had a friend who worked over at Pilgrim which is the production company that made Fast N Loud and he told me that RR was able to get a piece of every automotive show coming out of TX at the time which I think is probably why this show never happened. Anyways over the years RR ran people over at Pilgrim ragged and my friend who worked there told me all the drama going on behind the scenes including the moment FNL got shit canned along with all the other shows RR had his hand in.

The credit really goes to Watt Pictures. It was awesome to get to be a part of the process and learn a lot from someone who makes it look easy. I only wish the KC's Paintshop YT channel didn't have to be so edited and censored. However I do understand the image they would like to present for more family oriented crowds but yeah this really is a peak into the day to day behind the cameras.

@@lilorbielilorbie2496 there was a whole lot going on and many moving pieces. The media stopped because stuff was going downhill for most of the employees with the downsize. Someone offered me a job making double and having an unknown future made me take it and leave. Wasn't easy but it's worked out in the end.

I have my channel going slowly. I need to do more but it's hard to balance. I've got KC watching the Gymkhana Files on Amazon Prime (Ken Block videos where he shreds in his vehicles) and anyways KC is amped to really want to do another Red Morning type video. So right now we are working on scouting locations. I actually spend Thanksgiving scouting some epic dirt mining roads in Colorado for the SEMA 19 trip video. I am excited to get those type of projects going. I love working in the shop with the guys but I need some action to go with.

He has a lot of ideas and wants to do more but he's also overwhelmed with all his business and his wife is currently battling a rare disease that can potentially kill her. It hasn't been addressed on his channel and it's also why you haven't seen him much. I think his wife Kasey has a FB page where she talks about it but there is no cure for it right now. When KC said they were going to be gone for a week next week in the last video well, that's because they are going to Chicago where she will be undergoing experimental procedures. It's going to be rough both physically, emotionally and financially so this is the reason Frankenstein isn't completed and he has no toys because it's a lot to deal with. I feel for them and I wish he would address it on his channel but I know he won't. I just hate having to dance around when people ask about him doing videos and the new shop and etc. He's got a lot on his plate and I hope the juggling slows down for him.

@@Photobombin ,Did not know about this , there are some good doctors there ,hopefully they figure something out ,she is too young to be having problems ,I can see wht KC dont talk about it ,i keep business and personal separate myself ,hard to mix the two ,they have a lot going on with multiple locations ,I have a hard time keeping one going ,feel like if not there the place will fail ,i really respect what they have accomplished at such a young age ,having sema worthy cars says a lot for the shops work .

This was something that I worked on (towards the end of 2017 while filming KZbin videos) along side a producer from NY. He was very nice but right off the bat several of the guys that we're working there that had been on TV had ZERO interest and wouldn't allow themselves to be filmed for it. I quickly realized why when the producer would ask people questions and if he didn't get the answer that fit his "storyline" he would tell them what to say and add "if you find it to be true" at the end. Granted I get how people with potential might need direction because they might not be use to being on camera and I was guilty of stirring the pot for the KZbin channel but never did I tell people what to say nor did I edit them or censor them in anyway to fit an agenda. Then again that's probably why I don't work for TV haha and i'm ok with that. The new shop is up and running with new builds. I'll try and stop by tomorrow and see if I can't get a shop tour filmed.
