I recently got a bunch of felo 800 series and 200 series screwdrivers from the felo disco sale on kc tool 11 screwdrivers for 43 $ including shipping

Nice...that was a killer deal...and imo, an underappreciated launch, lol.

I have that exact same Felo T25 T-handle and I bought it not so much for extra torque but for removing slightly rounded/cammed out rotor bolts. That style of T-handle is great because you can get all your weight behind it and still be able to turn it which you can't do so easily with a screwdriver or ratchet.

Yep, great point. I'm a huge fan of their 1/4-3/8-1/2" Drive T-Handles. They are also really reasonable price wise.

I have a felo frico bit holder, and I love the design. I also have the new felo ergonic grips, and the handle feels ok. It's nice and squishy, but it is not very durable. The fricos are nice and durable and seem to tolerate solvents better. Sad that they discontinued them.

Good insight on the lifespan and chemical resistance. Most of my Ergonic stuff has lived a pampered life (outside of the 1/4" ratchet). I do like the soft handles, but they are the #1 dust/lint magnets, which is not a selling point where I live and work. I am with you though, the Frico were really nice and imo shouldn't have gotten the axe.

I have the Wera hollow shaft nut driver sets in metric and SAE. They are great in lieu of deep sockets too.

I've always toyed with getting the Wera for my metric...but have still not bought any. Wiha did SAE in Yellow and Metric in Red, but recently ditched that and went Red across the board. The Wera set would definitely leave no room for confusion. If I used metric sizes more, I'd have bought them years ago...Still on the list, just not pressing. A sale, or Tool of the Day might make the decision. I would love to have Witte's though!

I wonder if since the price on the Kraftform comfort grips was always lower, they maybe are just no longer shipping them to the US as the profit margin is also too low to make it worth while

I believe they were...kind of a a situation where most distributors probably jumped over them. I applaud Wera for having the lower tier price point at the entry level, but their better known and more expensive lines are also pretty reasonable, so my belief is this set probably fell thru the cracks and under the radar.

Wera stopped producing those handles. The entry level is all vde now, the lighter orange handles they released.

I want to say I have that set of VDE in my roll cart. Kind of crazy to have VDE as entry level, but they did seem pretty light.

i genuinely worry when slowly assembling sets or kits of things that the manufacturer changes the style or packaging lol. stahlwille recently changed their velcro tool rolls/pouches :/
@lonestarmopars4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I've been hit by the changes a few times. You often times don't get any notice and if a distributor isn't caught with a lot of stock on hand, you might not even get a chance to grab backups, or finish sets. It is something I wish manufacturers would relay a bit better...not saying they have to spill the beans on what is new, or upgraded, but just this line is being replaced, or discontinued. I got lucky Wiha told me about the 3k, which I still think are fantastic and were stupid affordable.
@chadroy164 ай бұрын
@@lonestarmopars always reminds me of the early tool hauls whenever the 3k makes an appearance haha. Yeah it would be nice if it was clearer when things are about to change, but i doubt that that'll happen
