Soul Music is about the music, not the color of one's skin. This one of THE BEST soul songs I have EVER heard and it still holds up TODAY. Kelly nailed it dead on with this song. If anyone had any doubts about her talent, this song put those doubts to rest. I love all her songs, but TTWLI is my favorite.

Black males always say that about non- black FEMALES. Y'all aren't so open about the males. Y'all are still screaming about Elvis and Vanilla Ice

@@trudesoto7807 Well, my name ain't 'ya'll'. I've never screamed about Elvis one way or the other as most of his stuff just doesn't appeal to me. I feel the same way musically about Justin Timberlake that I do about Kelly Clarkson, and I couldn't care less about their ethnicity or their gender. Good music is good music, period. I like the Beatles as much as I like The Temptations. I grew up in a home that listened to all types of music from all types of artists. And the least of our worries was what ethnicity they were. As far as Vanilla Ice is concerned, I personally think the dude himself is wack and I thought his lyrics were just as wack. Again, his skin color has nothing to do with it. I feel the same way about MC Hammer. I don't care if he was black. He was wack and his raps were wack. Now if you want to talk about a white male rapper then I submit MC Search, or Eminem, or Bubba Sparkx. All three are exceptional lyricists.

@@GarrickMerriweather - That's what you all say when you're asked specifically. But it's no surprise that Justin Timberlake , Hozier, James Morrison, Bruno Mars and all the other soulful NON- black males DON'T have your.....and other black male's post saying music is colorless. *I bet you never posted similar on a Timberlake site. Don't bother doing it now. That's how racism + sexism works.* You black males have a lot of biases and convoluted preferences that you need to be held accountable for- because it's slowing down genuine racial unity and progress.

@@trudesoto7807 What the hell are you talking about? First of all, you don't know me. So your baseless assumption on people's subjective likes/dislikes all revolving around one's ethnicity is what is actually "... _slowing down genuine racial unity and progress_ ...". Second of all - I don't have to prove anything to you. If you feel so inclined, you have my permission to go look up every song from every artist you specifically named and you'll find a similar comment from me. By all means, knock yourself out. All forms of entertainment (including music) is subjective. I can like and dislike whatever I want. I'm not here to fill a quota for you or anyone else. This is a video about Kelly Clarkson so my comment was about... hmmmm... 🥁... Kelly Clarkson. What are you so on about? Please show us on the doll where musical opinions hurt you.

Wow, I can't believe so many people think that Clark Beckham did a getter job! I like Clark, but Kelly slays it.

Idk who he is. I just went over to listen to his version. His voice is too rock. It's good but not as soulful sound like Kelly. She remains to own this song.

I totally agree! Kelly will always be THE American Idol to me. :-)

No. Where did you get that? That's odd. You don't like them because they're non- mixed race, no light skinned black women.
