Those Slimlight LEDs seem to be the best all around bumper lights out of the three. They look to throw light more like a combo pattern than a strictly spot beam light.

The thing that I like about halogen lights is that they get hot enough to melt snow and ice, I've not had any luck with LED pods or lightbars being able to do that.

This is a great comparison video. I currently have ProSport 6" LED driving lights but I really enjoy the warmer look, easier on the eyes nature of halogen, as well as the immense heat the produce for melting snow and ice, unlike most LEDs. I am thinking of picking up a set of the Appollo Pro Spread Beams to try them out. Thanks guys.

This was very helpful! I ended up getting the Slimline LEDs for a pillar mounting and I like the slightly less concentrated center beam for my purpose. That being said, I’m blown away by the Pro 6 LED and it’s performance from such a low power draw. It’s not quite what I was looking for, but still very impressive.

This video is exactly what I needed! I'm running stock halogen headlights on my JKU. I'll upgrade to LEDs once one of them goes. In the meantime, I'll get my LED fix via these Slimites. Haven't decided whether I'll mount them near the cowls or on the bumper/bull bar. Can you tell me what mounting hardware I'll need? As I may eventually go from 2 to 4 lights, what do you recommend for switches? Much appreciated. Thank you!

@@dennismontes4769 hi. No I haven’t figure it out yet. One of the bulbs burnt out but it was super easy to change. @@dennismontes4769 but it was just the bulb I swapped out. Untwist the outer case and it’s so easy to change the bulb so now I’m thinking as long as the bulb is H3 size also you could use any bulb I would imagine. @@kchilites ok. That’s what I was thinking, but the pro 6 is only 20 watts and the slimline is 50 so I wasn’t sure. I called your tech support snd they told me to buy the slim light but the beam on the pro seems much tighter, plus, I can buy the insert and install in my day lighter. I will buy the pro6 insert for the day lighter, that will do it right? The hid is too expensive but I realize it is long range
@br00klyngreek132 жыл бұрын
@@kchilites your slimlites have a better spot beam bud, I know from buying 4 of each to try on my roll bar on my tacoma....slimlite spot beam gave an extra 50 to 75 yards of sight on pitch black open roads

What beam pattern would you recommend for the Pr6, if I plan to run it on my bumper with an amber cover and essentially run them while offroading in the daytime too. I don't want it to be annoying to anyone in a caravan in front, but I would still like for it to be effective if it gets darker and I take the covers off. Thanks!
@Vysnia44 жыл бұрын
@@kchilites No I definitely don't see a need to run them when I'm not off-roading, so sounds like that one would work. I don't have any other lighting besides the stock headlights and fogs. The wide-40s were what I was leaning towards and I appreciate you helping out! Thanks!
@littlegoobie4 жыл бұрын
that's good advice. what i've found is that descriptions or beam type names from manuf aren't enough info to go on. You just need to do some research, commit and buy something you think might work, and go from there. In most cases, unless you only need lighting in 1 particular situation, you will most likely do better with more than one lens type. Spots are generally so narrow that you get a hot spot and nothing else...but downrange on a long dark road, nothing beats them. Floods have so little distance they do nearly nothing on an open road and are useless at higher speeds, but they're the best if going through a narrow treed dirt road.. driving beams are somewhere in between..at about 60 feet, they create a box of light around 15' wide. Having 1 driving and 1 spot is an amazing combination, your low beams fill in the close range. How you aim lighting has a huge impact on how effective your lights are for how you use them.
