What do you think of the 38kwh version and compared to env200 40kwh especially as the later is quite cheap now Thanks for sharing

Thanks for Watching! Regarding the 35kWh, I think the battery is too small for tradespeople. 50kWh, you have the leeway, which is important. It will work for some, but I think with a ~100 mile range with load it isn't quite enough to give peace of mind in cities. E-NV200 40kWh is a good option, although with the lack of thermal management, anecdotally I've seen some issues crop up. Also, you will find chargers without ChaDeMo now, which isn't the case of CCS. There are sites still being installed with ChaDeMo, but if you want pure flexibility may not be the best.

@@KCTalksEV yes , how much is a 52kw maxis? The 38 is 10k . And env 40 seems to be as little as £8k anythings better than my leaf with only 20kwh capacity now. Having to charge it to 100% all time

Seem to start at £13,500 exc.VAT, which isn't too bad. www.autotrader.co.uk/van-details/202401316068005?sort=price-asc&advertising-location=at_vans&make=MAXUS&model=eDeliver%203&postcode=HU69RW&fromsra

I would be interested in the charging curve at a hpc.

I'll see what I can do, although I believe the E-deliver 3 will not take any higher than 50kW on CCS, which is a shame.

1 hr charge or 10 mins fill tank witch would i pick

There is the option of charging it at home, 10 seconds to plug in, costs you ~£6.50 at the more expensive Octopus Go Faster rates. About 5p per mile. If that does my mileage needs for the day, I know which I would pick.

great ev, but the range is still limiting for people who travel long distances. Do you think there is anything in the works out there for a longer range electric van, i'd imagine maxus and mg would come up with something good

Very true, in the video I did mention that SAIC already have battery packs that are 77/88.5 kWh for the E-deliver 9 (which I have reviewed - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKilnZ-fhd2Ffq8). The space left over to the axle may mean they could fit it, at the expense of payload. Payload could be resolved by increasing the GVW to 3.5 ton (not sure of the current benefit of having a 2.5 ton van). Using those packs could increase range by 50% or 70%, assuming no weight increase. An assumed usable range from 200 to 230 miles. Much better!

We need van of this size but with 100 kwh battery and fastest charging like audi etron with over 200 kw of charging rate and then you wouldn't have any reason to go with diesel anymore. With 100 kwh battery you could go about 400 km at single charge even at winter and even 15 minute break would get more range than hour with this van. Also heat pump would be nice to increase range at winter. @@KCTalksEV

It would definitely be nice, however I think even with the current packaging advancements we would struggle to reach 100kWh unless we either increase the wheelbase (which they do sell in other markets). I still think the current 50kWh pack is enough for the vast majority of uses of this van (last mile deliveries, local tradespeople etc). Won't be used as a shuttle across the country, but the 100kWh probably would do it! Regardless, even though I think you're right (I mean 250 miles and nearly ICE refuelling speeds) I still think the naysayers will still complain until they try it.

Nice review but not great at only 2.9m/km. Same as stelantis vans

I think I'm going to have to give one of them a go at some point!
