If only they made a crew cab/ kombi or even a dual passenger seat, I'm sure they would sell loads more to dads who need to do the school run (like me).

@@GoGreenAutos I’m off to look at a new env200 tomorrow but the dealer informs me, Nissan is about to announce a replacement. Apparently it will have CCS & a more modern dash design. Look who’s copying Saic now! It’s getting very interesting in the world of EV vans… but at £30k+ it’s not going to be a sudden huge demand I bet. Hence wanting more seats, then people can ditch the 2nd car.

My videos are not scripted, so this is a bit of a long one and was pretty difficult to edit, so there is some repetition. The pronunciation police will love to comment on how I say Nissan! Anyway, I forgot to say that the eD3 does not have schedule charging or pre-conditioning. Scheduled charging is no problem as smart chargers control this rather than programming in the vehicle. The lack of pre-conditioning is helped by having heated seats as standard. The video looking under the bonnet and underneath the eD3 is here kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWHKnqmibrB4hcU Update on 28/09/2021 - the details on the ENV200 replacement have been in the press today and confirmed that it is to be a rebadged Kangoo and a smaller class van. Thanks for the in depth comparison, very interesting.. I loved my env200 24kwh van, only traded it in as I retired and the range wasnt good enough as a main vehicle, however it was a lovely van to use as a tradesman, felt quality. I would disagree on your comments ref levels of regen.. the nissan whilst only having one and none was fine; the most efficient level of regen isnt one pedal driving as most people seem to think, its actually zero! think about it, if you dont brake much, or at all, then you dont lose much momentum and friction on the parts and you dont need to re -accelarate.

Believe me, when your hip is knackered and you want to plug in then you will never get 'used to it', the latest versions of MG5 EV seem to have changed to side hinged cover, lets hope they change the van as well.

To me, the new Maxus van is a 20 year old van in the drivers space. I hope the drive line is up to current spec. The exterior looks old as well styling wise. The eNV 200 actually has a better look overall. We never got the eNV 200 here in the states. The 2.0L gas engine with the CVT transmission worked decent the the NV200. We are not yet getting electric commercial vans in the compact and mid size classes. The charge port is set up so much nicer and so much more usable. My take is Nissan could have been a great van if Nissan had pursued an upgrade path for its vans, but there have not been much in the way of improvements and upgrades since it first hit the market. To bad. Is the Maxus well constructed overall? Time will tell. My range requirement is 200 to 250 miles. The big factor is how fast can charge. 20 to 30 minutes to fast charge 150 miles of range is adequate for my needs. Does the Maxus come in any color but white? I am looking forward to the mid size cargo van entering the market in the US. But I don’t really see much movement here in the mid size market yet.

The question to raise and answer on these videos for van longevity is: Is the chassis galvanised? And: What's "Go Green Autos Rot Rating" for these vans in 5-10 years? Add that to the reviews! :oD Ford vs Peugeot there is definitely a different today for diesels.

I looked over the small Maxus last year, but didn’t think that it would be right for a guy who has only had one van and that was a Ford Escort Mk1 van.

Two little questions!! 1) I know that the NV200 E was turned into a camper. So far, the best vehicle for me is the Vauxhall Combo estate car converted to a camper by Wheelhome. 2) Is the Maxus going to be converted for camping?

Our diagnostic scanner, while it can read the ECUs and error codes on the eDeliver3, it isn't reporting any live information from the BMS, yet. The eDeliver3 is only a year old, so the third party diagnostic companies haven't developed the complete diagnostic software for the Maxus yet. They tend to take a couple of years on new models. I don't know of any phone apps yet that can read the BMS ECU. I would also suggest there isn't really a need yet, as these vehicles are only up to 1 year old, so any worries about degradation aren't really needed for many many years yet. I would expect degradation to only be about 1% per annum.

For a small island like Malta I found the 24kW version very good. On the other hand I wish to point out Regen levels ECO OFF : NO REGEN ECO ON : REGEN IS QUITE GOOD B MODE: HIGH REGEN ALMOST STOPS THE VAN.

Hey Matt, would you recommend either: e-nv200 40kWh, 9k miles for £8k. Or eDeliver3 52kWh 18k miles for £14k
@GoGreenAutos
@GoGreenAutos 9 ай бұрын
Mileage covered has very little effect on an EV, so minimal wear and tear. The eD3 will do more range than the ENV. The eD3 has CCS charging, rather than Chademo. So it depends on your own needs and priorities. But personally, I would go for the eD3. But that ENV is cheap for a 40kWh!
@SustainableGal

@@GoGreenAutos thank you for your thoughts! Yes it's a really difficult choice because of the price! The env200s are so cheap at the moment 🫣🫣

Do we know how long the parts will be available and supported for?
@GoGreenAutos
@GoGreenAutos 2 жыл бұрын
No, but I can't see why they would be any worse than other brands. In fact, SAIC prices for parts are hugely cheaper than other brands. I've made a video on this, see kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3zKk2iEjddqpdk SAIC make the EV powertrain themselves, so I would expect their parts supply and available to probably better than some of the European EVs, who buy in components and rely on third parties. Just because its Chinese or you've not heard of SAIC before, don't assume it will be worst than European brands.

Please correct the mistake at 31:50, where you say, that the E-NV200 has no thermal management in the battery pack. It has. The battery is very different from the Leaf, and there is a cooling loop from the HVAC, which leads into the battery pack. There you will find a heat exchanger and a radial fan, which blows the cool air inbetween the battery cells, cooling the battery as necessary. You can easily verify this - if the battery pack is charged in the summer via DC or higher AC speeds, as soon as you start the charging, the AC compressor will kick in, and at higher temperatures even the AC heat exchanger fan will start. It has a very distinctive sound.

proper key is GOOD (much less chance of it getting stolen). incandescent DRLs better too, LEDS are not reliable and are really expensive to reaplace as have to replace entire DRL. Physical gearlever MUCH BETTER (nissan) and even the park pawl is mechanical , not stupid electric. Regen is ok on E-NV but seems better on the 24 than the 40.

I have noticed in forums that the MG's seem to have some charging issues with some public chargers. eg if charge above 95%, it knocks out the 12V battery. Any idea if issues with the Maxus van?

These vans are to expensive they need to be 21000 +Vat for 30 KW i think they would sell.I just had a quote for a Peuguot Partner professional LWB with 50 KW battery for 22000 + VAT the next size up expert or dispatch £28000 + Vat this are main stream vans with main dealer back up.I have just bought a new MG 5 Excite for 20800 inc VAT which is exceptional value and a good car. This 30kw van is 30000 inc vat made by the same company !!

The problem is the pricing is getting skewed by the grant system. Some other vans are classed in the category above and therefore get £6K more grant on them, whereas the eD3 gets £3K. Vans are always expensive compared to cars.
