Nice, the Catskills are so nice. I am from NJ and that is were we took our class trip. Definitely a great place for elevation and a SOTA/POTA activation. Great job and thank you for sharing.

Very nice sending with the straight key, Chris! It was actually really satisfying to hear the contacts close in addition to the sidetone, LOL. Also great job on the FM contacts with the new hams and the sweet views! I'm glad you mentioned the increased difficulty of setting up a station in the cold. Time seems to pass differently on a summit, doesn't it? Especially in winter. Vy 73 de JB

Oh I agree 100%. I’ve seen the summits you’ve activated and I could imagine you’re a pro at this point managing the cold. Both you and Mike (WB2FUV) also endure for long activations. Much respect!

Great video! I have the same ice fishing glove you have, same colour 😊 I’ve been using it in pair with a merino underneath. Not enough yet hehe Are you using straight key for the fun or you’re having the paddles freezing problem? Mine freeze and start to fail 73

Both for fun and I find it much easier to keep my hands warm! Definitely need another pair of gloves underneath! 72!
