Is it still hard to render with kden live? Is it possible to edit in kdenlive, then switch to Shotcut for rendering or making final touches?
@victorianodejesus4 жыл бұрын
Kdenlive is slower in rendering compared to Shotcut. I don't think you can open a Kdenlive project in Shotcut. Why not just use Shotcut for video editing as well?
@lechsiz16424 жыл бұрын
@@victorianodejesus that was the plan, but my pride is a bit bruised when I see all of these men using kden live! Yours is the first kdenlive tutorial I watched (I've watched plenty of shotcut's - and you made kden live look just as easy as kden live. I have both editors downloaded, though. Wasn't sure if kden live fixed its rendering problems yet or not. I have a 4GB GPU on the way, but I her kden live doesn't use GPU for rendering, so.... BTW, I just watched your Atlanta rock climbing video...didn't know we had that. I'll have to try it.
@victorianodejesus4 жыл бұрын
@@lechsiz1642 to be honest, Kdenlive still has issues. No software is perfect. And you're right that Kdenlive doesn't use the GPU when rendering. But we can use whatever software we want as long as we are willing to learn how. I personally use both Kdenlive and Shotcut.

Is there no way to add multiple videos to the timeline instead of one by one?
@victorianodejesus4 жыл бұрын
In the new version of Kdenlive, you can select all your clips in your Project Bin and add to the Timeline. Remember, you have to add the videos to your Project Bin first. This can also be done by selecting all the videos you want and dragging to the Project Bin.

So for my project I don't have any actual existing footage, rather the footage will be a single screenshot with some effects over it for the duration of the music. How can I make "footage" like this
@jackb18034 ай бұрын
Look at pan and zoom to add some movement to your image. You can also add multiple title clips or captioning, and the title clips can be zoomed and panned as well using the transform effect.

Thank you this was helpful. I have a question: when I hovered over the overlap of two clips, it said add composition. Is this the same as a transition or am I clicking something else?
@victorianodejesus4 жыл бұрын
This video is for an old version of Kdenlive but adding a composition will add a transition. It defaults to a Dissolve. You can click on the Dissolve and modify it to be something else. I think this is why it was called composition. But yeah, pretty much the same thing.

Unfortunately, we all get different results and experience with Linux applications. I've definitely been in your situation before where a lot of programs crash. But keep your eye out when the apps get an update. Sometimes the updates improve stability of the apps. Good luck! :)

@@Ebureto Kdenlive is just for editing video. I don't really use it to capture video. You can use OBS (Open Broadcaster Software).
