Honestly haven't tried Resolve, but with all the crap Resolve pulls and is distro specific (meaning I mostly can't use it on LFS and don't even wanna try), I just stick with Kdenlive. Beforehand, I just used Shotcut, is very simple and easy to compile. But doesn't have everything I need, but Kdenlive does, and exists as an appimage. So, I just use that now. Truth be told... I do miss Sony Vegas 13. It was great, simple, and had everything I need, but isn't on Linux. If a port suddenly came to Linux, I'd immediately jump ship.
