I Giorno Giovanna bro there is no cyberpunk 2077 besides the game. Mike Pondsmith made cyberpunk 2020 and I believe he did cyberpunk red, but cdpr are creating their own vision for 2077 with the help of mike pondsmith. There’s no source material besides the background story that pondsmith created all those years ago. So yes, cd projekt red DO make their own stories. They did the same with the Witcher games, which are not adaptations of the books, but instead act as sequels, just as cyberpunk 2077 is to 2020. In short, cyberpunk 2077 literally is a sequel of sorts already, so why would they not be able to make a sequel to it? It's great that more and more film actors are experimenting with game motion capture and voice-over. This may as well be the future of acting as a whole. And it's so fantastic to see Keanu be one of the first to really put his heart into it. No doubt the end result is captivating.

Videogames can be the perfect fusion between films and books. There's nothing, that has a higher potential for perfect story telling than this. The visual fidelity of films with the in-depth story telling of books combined with real interaction sounds for me like the wet dream of every ambitious author.

I thought the same thing. I absolutely love "retro wave" music and I was a bit bummed when I heard that the game's soundtrack was going to be mostly punk rock. Hopefully the soundtrack will offer a mix of both genres.
