Kebu presents Live Online limited vinyl edition!

The limited edition featured a colored 180 g vinyl and was limited to 300 pcs, with each vinyl signed & numbered by me. I sold numbers 1-100 on my Bandcamp store, while numbers 101-300 were available from other music stores. The regular edition has a black 180 g vinyl, otherwise it is identical to the limited edition.

Vinyl is one of the worst technologies to store music on in 2022. CDs with DDD have much better dynamical resolution and no noise and "knacken". Why do people think Vinyl is anything but a bad legacy? I surely still play my old records and still have a record player, but what use are NEW LPs? I guess it's because of those hipsters who love old crap.

16 Bit digital isn't all that it is made out to be. People like collecting music, LPs are fine, you must live in the Iphone era where everything is tied to some cloud service that has no tangible connection to the music or the artist what so ever. I guess you're against books too right? Humans like to touch, feel, experience, smell, let's all be automotrons and be one with the Borg!!!

Vinyl surely isn't the easiest format. But for me, it's about listening more intense to the music. You have to put on the record, turn it over after just a few songs, put on a different record, fiddle with putting them back in the sleeves or taking them out, cleaning them once in a while ... A lot of work. So when you put on the record, you listen to it. In contrast with digital music where you can listen to a 1000 songs ... it has its advantages also of course. But do you really listen that intense then ? So I guess it's a "quality over quantity" thing. And handling the LP's feels more real than just digital downloads on your computer.

@@dankeplace Love the sentence about the iphone era ^^ So many people really want to become "one with the Borg" - all up there in the cloud, nothing to keep when internet is not available.... And someday all gone maybe. For me, I like purchased digital downloads that I can store locally (space reasons). But for artists and albums I really care about (like Kebu ^^) I still enjoy physical media and nice packaging. But I always choose CDs. I don't have the space and proper equipment for Vinyl - I know it is a special feeling handling them and I quite like the "noise" they make in the run-in part, before the music starts. I think it is nice that Vinyl has a revival right now, even if a lot of the "it is better than CDs" talk is just emotional. but I also hope CDs will not die out. I love them. And my trusty old CD equipment too.
