Excellent clear video. I like the way you work...nice and clean. But, ...If I was doing it though, I not try to push the hook up plug through the gasket from the inside. I would snip the wires feed them through from outside and then cinch and tape them...that's gotta be quicker and a LOT less of a fight.

Nice job. But there will be very interesting to see how the car recognizes non oem part. For example if you put in reverse, PDC disables rear sensors.

I do have an 08 e70 4.8 n 525 E39 n I love fixing cars n I do my own repairs but limited. If you retrofit oem tow hitch, after addiing in FA is it necessary to code or flash EGS, DSC or other modules?

Can we use original bmw towbar with module and retrofit on the car or we cannot use

Yes, you can retrofit an original tow hitch. It is much easier on the electric part, but it will need some coding. Even in my case, I will code the navi to have the option for the rear view camera on the tow

There is no need to code. I have retrofit electric tow hitch and the car recognised the hitch without problem. Ofcourse it is better to code all neccesary modules. Even Ista displayed AHM module in tree. That was a surprise.
