Okay, whether you agree or not, Ash DID own a Haunter. Although, he never caught one in Kanto. In Pokémon Journeys, Dialga and Palkia end up fighting (again), and as a result, Pokémon begin to devolve. This results in Ash's Dragonite turning into a Dratini, Ash's Pikachu becoming a Pichu, and Ash's Gengar becoming a Gastly. So, yes, Ash has owned a Haunter and a Gastly, but not the Kanto one.

Starters are hard to Catch early on because they with a few exceptions have a the very common Catch Rate of 45, shared with many final stage pokemon, all Fossils, Most Psuedo Legendary lines, The entire Eevee line, some Mythical pokemon, ORAS Rayquaza, Gen 5 Reshiram and Zekrom, Gen 6 Xerneas and Yveltal, and the Cosmog Line.

My favourite pokemon owned by Ash has to be his Talonflame because I love it's design plus it was one of Ash's best pokemon in the Kalos region having been used in 7 out of the 8 gyms. It's best moment was when it evolved to take on Moltres and protect the group. True Brave Bird.

Pokemon should add a pokemon that has an ability named "team heal" heres how it works: once the other pokemon dies it will heal when u send out this pokemon The name should be: instoodle(ground and fire type) and its 2nd evolution should be named gooraimium (poispn and ground type) and its 3rd evolution should be kinda like froslass and glalie like if its a fe male its evoluution will be a "yuraskam" (ice and fairy type) if male then it will be named when it evolves to its 3rd form "namask" (poison and dragon type)
