so i was just chilling playing pokemon sun right, and i was fighting the first kahuna and the first move he hits is a crit, then the second move he hits is a crit which knocks out my first mon so i take out me next mon and the first move he hits is also a crit which one shots my second mon. the odds of that happening is a 0.0244% chance or around 1/4096 which is the same odds as a shiny😭 why couldent i have gotten the shiny.

I’m shiny hunting a litten, about 2,500 soft resets in 😅 I use save state and load state right on “you got a litten” text, so all i have to do is press space and then check if it’s not a shiny and reset. Just heads up for if you shiny starter hunt again. Hope this helps.

Really surprised you didn’t do any SOS hunts. It’s the special shiny hunting method for the region, it has REALLY good odds, and it’s really easy. Also, the dusk stone is available pretty much as soon as you reach Poni Island. It’s right by the ledge near the Seafolk Village entrance (I know because I just used it in my USUM playthrough last week).

I'm going to be doing exclusively full odds shiny hunts for this entire series! since SOS increases the shiny odds, i passed up on it (shame since SOS is my favourite shiny hunting method) never knew abt the dusk stone though! wish i did for chandelure :,)

@@Oshawaves Yeah, as far as I’m aware, the dusk stone isn’t really documented super well for some bizarre reason. Not sure as to why, but it’s super helpful to know about (especially for future runs and stuff).

i just realized why shiny archeops is so annoying. lil sh just switches colors with the yellow more cream. so much good green potential wasted. they noticed so fast that being determined with ivs or evs was such a bad idea. honestly i wish someone spoke up early in game freaks corner about meaningful shinies and not just swapped pallets. so glad to see even just slight improvement. In Poke Pelago (one of the weirder, but neat little features) you can get a dusk stone in the mines there. You might have already known this, but decided against using it anyways (which is understandable), but I figured I'd tell you in case you did not know. also you asked for out top 5, so: 1.Tauros, 2.Electivire, 3.Haxorus, 4.Gliscor, 5.Lilligant Anyway, hope you have a nice day!

Ooo ultra moon. I was thiiiss close to getting it because i got sun last time.. but then i said nah and got ultra sun XD And this game is better than sun in my opinion, it feels like what they wanted the sun/ moon games to be. But boy, did they make up for the loss of the lusamine batlte with ultra necrozma yikes. I'm a casual player, being playing since gen 4 and i wasn't prepared for it. I guess to keep it short, i had my houndoom and primarina ready to take it on, both failed and then watched in wonderment that my Espeon toughed it out 2x in a row to finish it off.

To be fair I only did most of the resets on the first week. Then I kinda only did it very very occasionally. I only had a total of 150 hours. Maybe if I keep going I'll find it.
