I am almost positive that maximize range goes over the range cap. If 250% (100% base + 150% extra) the numbers will show the increase in the menu, but it won't actually increase anything past 250% in game. So you're losing that 20% skill power for no real benefit over amplification control. I could be wrong tho.

there is also a season buff that adds another 9% range IIRC at max stacks (15 at 0.6%/stack). why they had this juuuust shy of max 300% with 2 max range mods is beyond me, but is what it is.

FYI. He can dash through the red lasers and take no damage. He can dash through most traps with no damage as long as you dash completely through them and don't end the dash while in the trap.

Keelan Main here, some thoughts: - Replace HP Amp with Stim Acc, Max Range with Amp Control. The only thing that's benefitting from skill range is the burst damage bubble at the end of a dash, which is plenty big. - Pierce WIDTH doesn't scale with Skill Range. It requires Keelan *physically* piercing enemies with his character model. Otherwise, you don't deal the Pierce damage and you don't get cooldown refunds. Not sure if this is an oversight on the dev's part, but it is what it is. - Do NOT use Void Corrosion as an opener in any fight, especially against tougher enemies. Void Corrosion is Fusion type, which means Acidic Erosion would also be Fusion type and you cannot override that by hitting the same enemy with Onslaught/Septic Gust. I think proclaiming myself as a "Keelan Main" already says it all. He's my new favourite character. Verticality in this game, not only without but also aided with grappling hooks is such a nice change of pace. He's trash against bosses, but that's only because the devs are so weird about transcendent mods. Even Hailey is suffering the same fate. When you think about it, Keelan is the opposite of Hailey -- he's a monster when it comes to mobbing. It's only a shame that he has to compete with Freyna and Bunny.

I’ve never seen a game where people are such meta slaves like tfd. You can kill infernal in a minute and half with Kyle but nobody knows bc he’s not Meta… even Jayber can kill infernal solo, so 400s fast solo etc. but everyone thinks Kyle, Jay, Blair etc suck bc they’re not Freyna. Keelan got the same treatment immediately. He’s not a super easy just push this than that and boss dies so people put him in the bad needs buffs category. When in reality he’s pretty dang good people just are not good! They need to be told who to play and what build and how to play in order to do anything. It’s weird.

Keelan is the 3rd normal Descendant i have maxed out the mod slots beside Sharen and Yujin. Because I don't want to waste resources I will simply wait for the ultimate versions until a decent refund/transfer system is in place. That said, I dont regret putting the time and resources into Keelan at all. He is literally a blast to play.

I actually am using skater currently. I have plans to try the hunter and venom as well but still need venom roll on one! He’s actually my new favorite! I have solo’d all bosses that can be done solo with focus on prey. Swamp walker was the only one who took some time. He’s definitely no Gley or master bosser, but with a lil buff he will for sure bring it! :)

This is practically the same build i made for him, i even tried crit build with blue scarab buff, but that only worked properly for valby, so i'm glad we went for mostly the same, now just trying to get a better reactor

Kinda sad that you actually need to pierce the targets, not just hit them with the dash. It'd be so much more fun if the targets on the sides would count for the reset since we're building tons of range anyway. Still, the biggest issue for me is his fourth. I like it for the extra 3 stacks but it means I need to move away, even though Keelan is a melee-ish dude.

Yeah Keelan has a bunch of small issues that add up to a big problem. His biggest though (outside of long cool downs) is definitely his 4th. It should do damage AND/or give 3 stacks. As in both if you hit an enemy, or just 3 stacks if no enemies are around. It should never feel punishing to do damage and currently that's how it feels when you do his 4th too close to mobs. It also needs to have like basically no cool down since it requires half your bar to use it. This or have his 2nd reduce all cool downs.

If you want to use his 4th for stacks then quickly use his 3rd to clear enemy's around you then use the 4th, or dash into the air

You're overcapping on range and killing your entire passive dot dmg, just use amp control and have the inversion buff to max the range, even without the inversion you're 6% range short, its not worth the spm hit. Also, my guy, why are you using HP amp and not Stim? He has no mp... brother, I'm beginning to think you're just undercooking these to get them out quickly. I like you but damn. Like not only is STIM more hp than hp amp but it has no downsides affecting keelan. Denneys, are you ok? last edit I hope: fire rate mods are inherently not good on beamrifles, it's basically anti-synergy, your chargerate does not go up with fire rate so essentially you are shooting less fully charged bullets and more non-charged bullets which is not exactly a dps loss, but far better mods can be slotted. Ok one more XD you do want to run a max shield hunter comp rather than def because of amp control and because you are also not, hopefully, running HP amp, its more value defensively. Overall though I would actually recommend slayer regardless because you aren't running that kind of bucket with spear and shield or power increase, it is also good for keelan cuz the skill cost is actually not affecting him. Its just extra dmg that you can use vs elites and bosses which you will face eventually, he's not a bosser but that doesn't mean you have to be gimping yourself on bosses.

And you can't disagree on the shield vs def part, its literally more EHP total having shield than having that much def that just doesn't protect you vs elemental attacks. ESPECIALLY with the aforementioned amp control mod. With a gold cdr roll on the reactor the dash is 10.1 sec cd. Like I don't mean to be rude but it's so strange seeing builds like these that seem supremely rushed when you can literally just have 0 downsides and achieve the same or even better results, but your reply to the comment seems equally rushed so maybe it's to be expected from you, idk.

Mastery rank? Brother once you hit lvl 40 on a descendant you move on to the next that is how your rank goes up. If you stay on a descendant that’s max level your mastery rank will not go up

It is definitely a fun dash. It allows for movement tech as well. Have yo tried grapple dashing? My only issue is on controller its tough to 180 after a dash. theyre implementing a fix for that so i dunno.

You should never be afraid to dream a little bigger, my friends. A simple dash foward is absolutely lackluster and lazy and doesn't truly inspire interesting gameplay. I mean, why just forward? Why stop there? They did the same thing with esimo until we figured out how to make his movements a bit more fun

@unknown-ldn6337 he's entire gameplay kit is a toxic dash. Like freynas, gameplay is a spreading puddle, hence my comparison.. If these are the standards you set for yourself in terms of gameplay, then it will become very outdated very quickly. What I'm pointing out is an underlying problem tfd has with most of its characters. I just think instead of a step forward in making more intricate game playstyle, they took a step back. And after installing 10 catalysts on pretty much every descendant in the game, it has become very apparent. I don't dislike the game just think they could do better on that front.
