I'm transitioning from a Headrush MX5 to the UAFX pedals- the Dream and the Lion 68- so I'm back in the analogue pedal market, I guess. I need to check out the Keeley line- been over a year since I bought any pedals- no idea what they've been up to. I still have my Keeley compressor though- imo no one does compression better than Keeley. The Caverns delay and reverb was amazing as well. I may get another one of those- I used to love that thing when I had a pedal board. the MX5 is cool- you can get them to sound shockingly good- but there's something about building your own board. It's different and very enjoyable- and it sounds a little better imo. The UAFX pedals are the best emulations I can find and using analogue fx with them, just makes it feel more analogue- more real. Shame you can't gig and play in bands nowadays with a real amp, but it's really difficult to do. Most bands have an issue with it because they don't like micing anything and having to deal with bleed over and all that stuff. And the venues are the same way- if you show up with a real amp- they don't like it. So, after my tube amp tore up, I just gave up and went digital. But at least now I'll have an analogue pedal board again.

We have done a lot of keeley pedals over the years and they never disappoint. Dave Barber from Barber Electronics brought over a Dream 65 and we used that for all the sounds on the Direct Drive and Gain Changer video we recorded with him playing. I was blown away how good he got it sounding.

@@PJandtheBeard I'm impressed with the Lion 68- as far as how it sounds. The way it operates is a different story- not a fan of the phone thing and the way there's no way to cycle through presets without it.
