The beauty of the Chorus sound is best heard with clean, sweet chords and/or finger picking. Not distortion.

Normally I'd agree on something like this but from my experience it's hard to find a chorus pedal that can blend easy with high saturation whether it be overdrive, fuzz, and distortion. Usually the tone filters out in a way that isn't too pleasant to the common person.

Dude the list of things for a full and proper review of a chorus would have to have drive and distortion (among other effects) and the chorus needs to be placed before and after those pedals. I actually have 2 chorus pedals on two boards one is before all drive/dirt pedals and the other where it fits best after them but before my reverb. So no he has to. Clean tone everything is most important because you can always turn things up but if you don’t have a clean sound you’ll never get it but destroying your signal is literally the entire point of electric guitar. If you don’t like it play acoustic, which probably deserves to have its sound f@cked w/ to. It’s just more fun. Like jimmy page said, light and shade.
