People have never heard of this little concept called "burden of proof" have they? The accused doesn't have to prove shit, first the accuser has to bring evidence to his claims to the table. After that the accused may defend. There's no need to defend against random accusations. Otherwise you could just run around and randomly accuse people of ANYTHING. And since they can't easily prove they didn't do it, they'd be guilty even if no evidence ever existed. It is rather uncommon that you'd be able to prove a negative (proving you didn't do something) and good for jeremy that he had the option. But most of the time you can't prove a negative, which is why evidence of the positive is required (evidence as to why he did it) and not of the negative (evidence at to why he didn't do it). Unbelievable that so many people these days have trouble with this simple concept that makes complete sense once you think about if for a second. Especially considering that keemstar calls himself a "newsman". A newsman should know such a simple concept.

I'm not exactly sure how Twitter drama works, but in a courtroom, the defendant (The Quartering in this case) is always innocent until proven guilty, and the reasoning behind this is that if a person is falsely accused, there is no chance of conviction unless the defendant is being framed. Keemstar's logic is unethical and also inhumane, as these rules should be followed in and out of the court room. Say you're at work, and your pen goes missing. Instead of immediately accusing one of your coworkers, you could try to find it or ask a coworker if they saw it. In this case, DM the Quartering if he did it or not and ask politely for proof, as he would be inclined to provide it. He went about this completely wrong. He also doubled down, which is never the right thing to do. If the masses say otherwise, do not self incriminate.

From what I've learned about Keemstar, his tendency to say outlandish things in order to intentionally cause drama is obviously a very good business strategy for him. He will surely continue to build a strong community of followers just by stirring this cauldron and getting people fired up. This is precisely why I think TheQuartering should have just stopped responding to Keemstar, maybe one or two Tweets after his debunk video. He's tainting his victory by beating a dead... "clown" as people seem to call him haha. Like I said, all this is food for Keemstar, and I'm sad for TheQuartering that he's continuing to respond with increasingly more passive aggressive tweets without noticing that Keemstar's very intent is to do this to his competition and his opposition in general. Keemstar, especially in this situation, is an example of how shame and pride go hand in hand, and he’s VERY good at hiding that shame with mockery. If you’re always pointing a finger and laughing, you'll never have to deal with “hate” directly, and you’ll never have to internalise criticism or feel bad about yourself and who you are. And that's just not sustainable and will have foreboding consequences in the long-run: Everybody has to confront themselves eventually, and it's always ideal to do that sooner rather than later.
