I've been at planet Mars last week. I can tell you Keen is definitely the best.

Are this just for winter? I feel like they'd get hot in summer hikes

I just ordered a pair. Hope to have them for the opening of elk hunting here in Montana next weekend! I have had a pair before and loved them. Very cushy and lightweight and warm. The loop at the front of the laces is perfect for wearing gators in snow.

How did they perform on your hunting trip?
@jameshurd86573 жыл бұрын
@@Scott-zc3iy they did outstanding in the snow. When I hike on dry dirt and rocks I wear the more expensive Crispi boot what I love about these boots though is they are lighter than my other hunting boots and they are insulated for hiking and snow and the soles last surprisingly long.

Just got a pair of the highs for Christmas. My wife said, "You will probably have unlace them all the way down to get into them because they are bound to be stiff." But they slid right on. Then I thought because of that they might be too big, but no! Laced them up and they were incredibly comfortable and ready to go. Right out of the box. I have worn nothing but Keens for about ten or twelve years and have always been happy. I have a pair of all leather Liberty Ridge, which I love for Spring and Fall, and a light weight pair (I forget what they are called) for Summer hiking, and some low top Targhees for everyday use. These replace an old pair of mid top Winter Keens that are pretty worn out. The high top will be a little better for deeper powder. My only complaint with any Keens I have owned is that the soles tend to wear out long before the boot does. Seems a shame to toss perfectly good boots because the soles have worn smooth.

Hello I want to know, if when you say ice is that for black ice as well? I fell 3 years ago and couldn't walk for almost 2 month. With that being said I need a boot that will prevent a slip and fall, while also not being to expensive.

How high are the men’s high polar boots? 8 inch height? Many winter boot manufacturers recommend sizing up a half size for more toe wiggle room and to accommodate heavier socks, I’m an 11 in most, should I get an 11.5? Thanks

Revel IV Polar - really dissapointed. First day with boot and leash on tounge got cracked :-( I'm curious how the dealer will behave. In my opinion, the processing of the leash on the tongue is insufficiently sewed. On the other hand the boot is quite pleasant at snow and with low temperature as well.
@kovalenkoihor43252 жыл бұрын
If you mean the little leather ring on tongue, to where person needs to put laces, I had the exactly same thing, but not with a day, but with a first try to wear the boots. That is the first time I've experienced such a thing at all. But, I bought the boots anyway, and really think that the leash is not needed )). And BTW overall the boots feel super. But.. if all the boots are made like the leash, that would be a shame

In end of november I bought a pair of Revel IV Mid for men Yesterday I had hiking trip (the second time that I used the shoes for hiking) in the mountains (in Romania, Europe) and I walked for 6 hours in snow. The snow was deeper than 50 cm, so I used snow guards. Also, the snow was frozen and wasn't melting or full of water (as it is when is hotter). During the trip I realized that the socks were wet on the toes and were dry up. Also the "leather" was darker, as it was full of water. Today, the interior of the boots is still wet... In conclusion, the shoes are not waterproof at all. Also the rubber came off on the top of left shoe (1 mm deep and for ~2cm of length). => the built quality is low. I'm very disappointed, especially as the boots were not cheap (~180 $) and they perform worst than an old Decathlon shoe (that cost 50 $)

why is it more emphasis and favorable design and albeit a more better materials for men? why isnt there any design specifically for women feet?????
@ricardog44592 жыл бұрын
women tend to spend less money in sports articles. not the rule, but the norm. if you check sports stuff (bikes, snowboards, protection gear, etc...), articles for men are way more technical and more expensive than women's. Maybe because we go crazy and buy all kind of pseudo tech with no use whatsoever, or we buy top of the line stuff that adds zero value to our purpose just to have the coolest stuff. I play hockey in a veteran-beer-league, and you would be surprised the amount of players that have top of the line skates, even if we would never make good use of them. Women that want that level of tech usually buy men's equipment, but with shoes it's tricky, maybe the junior's version fit.
