Hello, I’m a new player currently trying out AOM. Is it viable to completely ignore fishing in marine maps?

You can take quick towncenters instead and still be fine yes, or do a quick rush and destroy the enemy docks with land army. But yes in general water isnt that good in the first 2 ages. In age 3 and age 4 with the fishing ship upgrade its really good though, so you want to eventually take it. On a higher level of gameplay though id still suggest to take water though, but as a new player, its perfectly fine to ignore water for now!

I dont see how egyptians can deal with Colossus in Retold. Osiris Mummys cant 1shot them anymore. Priests and Pharaoh being being their only heroes, dealing piercing damage, make them pretty uneffective. I feel like its an almost impossible matchup to win 1v1 (players with similar skill ofc).

i think the upgrade still turns them into minions, but they have to be cursed first or smth for it to turn into a minion theres some kind of delay, correct me if im wrong though. But I saw mummies creating an entire minion army

Priests are very strong against them if you build enough. Even stronger if you choose the right gods/tech. They’re also much cheaper. Egyptians are the best civ against big, high HP myth units and Titans. You can focus an unlimited number on them.
