I was so glad that you decided to give up your 3rd job. You won’t be sorry. I have good news to share. Last year my doctor put me on new diabetes medication plus I have lost 30 pounds in the last 18 months. The doctor called me today to say that I am no longer diabetic. Then he told me I no longer have to take another one of my meds. I’m quite thrilled. I must, however, really watch my food intake over the next six weeks with the holidays coming on!!😃😃❣️❣️

Dear Emma, just an idea, as I was very resistant to dryer in my home. I live in Poland, it's not very common appliance here, and when weather allows I dry laundry on clothesline in my garden, but when it was humid and cold I always had free standing foldable dryer rack in my home. Few years ago I decided to save for electric dryer, it's freestanding and doesn't have to be attached to water drain and I have mine in my pantry all it needs it's electric power, the dryer collects the water in the reservoir that I empty after each cycle. I can't tell you how it changed my laundry rutine during winter. No more humidity in home, it also eliminated a lot of dust and shortened the cycle of collecting-washing-drying-putting away clothes. For me it was big investment but I really enjoy it. Duruing warmer months I use it only when it rains outside for days or I need to have something really quickly dry. With 5 people in our family I have a lot of washing but now it's a bit easier.

Hi Emma, I love your channel. It's wonderful to watch your progress! Something that really worked for me. Was defining every space. Books on bookshelves. If you have too many books to fit on the bookshelves. Get rid of books. Clothing in upstairs drawers only. If you have too many clothes to fit in the drawers get rid of clothes. This is much like dana k whites container method. You can fit a lot more clothing in a drawer. If you fold it and stack it on end, like a file folder. If you crumple it or if you leave it in a jumble and force it in the drawer it will take up more space. No need to do a total clear out. Just as you put things back, always fold them and put them to the side in the drawer. Then, as you wear things, your drawer will become folded. I just started doing this to my drawers, and I am 66! I love it, and I will never go back.

I've never been sold on the idea of a dishwasher myself , my sister has one and by the time she has rinsed her pots , arranged them inside the machine in what seems a very methodical way and rhen waited an hour for them to wash I could have done my washing up, cleaned the kitchen and bathroom 😂 not to mention how expensive the tablets are and they probably use a whole heap more water too so if you were on a water meter I'm guessing this is not great either 😊

Hi Emma, I’ve never heard of 1/2 dishwasher. A dishwasher is a huge time saver. Now, instead of spending time washing dishes, all I have to do is load and unload. Much faster and not so discouraging as trying to keep up with dishes. I run it every night or every other night, just depends on how full it is. That said, if my choice was a dishwasher or dryer, 💯 I’d choose a dryer. Cheryl

Emma, I enjoyed watching your videos. I don't have the living situation you have. Its hard to keep out clutter with one person let alone two other people. Keep up the good work. You need and deserve a dishwasher, one can always make room for a dish washer. You also should have a clothes dryer. I leave in the Pacific Northwest and it is cold and rainy about half the year, so I know about needing a clothes dryer.

Hi Emma! I’ve never heard of half a dishwasher so I’m going to google it and learn something. I only run ours once a week, because it’s just my husband and me, and we wash up the pots and pans by hand after meals. Half the time for breakfast I eat a protein bar, my husband eats a bagel on a paper towel (even though he could easily use a plate!). So the dishwasher is rarely full but I run it once a week anyway so it won’t fall into disrepair. I wish we had snails to ride! I’ve been watching some of your older videos to help out with your fundraising goal.

I don't think you have too many clothes, but yes you definitely need to take the books out of the built-in drawers in your loft. I look forward to watching you show us! I think the top you have on at the end is one we've not seen before. Three years ago the thought of someone having too many books would have been a complete horror to me! 😂 I needed to slim down about 50% when I sold our house and moved. It wasn't as painful as I expected it would be! I'm not sure how common it is anymore, but my husband used to call the place where Carolyn lives Hotlanta. I think it's a great idea for us all to visit Georgia! 🎉 You are so very nice and kind on your calls. Unless I am just meeting with one other person or presenting, it seems that all parties seem to do what they need to do with turning their microphone off or texting. What adorable clips you got with your big furry friends! Looking forward to hearing what adventures you get up to in January with your friends! I am actually meeting one of my best friends in Chicago the first weekend in December. Her daughter is in college and has a violin concert, we are going to visit the Christmas Market and do more fun things together! 🎉. Hopefully I will get some short video clips. If not, I will definitely put them on my Instagram page! 😊

That they will put the kettle on and make a coffee, if they want a second one. I even have a few friends that call my home their haven. You can show signs of yourself, in your home, without having to have stacks of things all over. You will never be a minimalist. Most people aren't. They have minimalist characteristics but still have things they love and enjoy and show their personalities. There is also no need to hang onto things for your daughter when it is unlikely she will never have any interest in them. You're keeping them for who you think she will be, so it's more about you than her. Her willingness to let go of things is good but strangely put in play for some things and still wanting to play with some items one more time before letting go of it. I wonder if your inability to get rid of some things is affecting her ability to make a decision to let go or keep. I'm not trying to be analytical, but I do wonder when I see you keep things for her despite her not showing interest, at times. I had to look up what the snails at Yarmouth were.
@gettingtidy2495Күн бұрын
It's really interesting. Some things that she really loved she wants to keep. My Mum kept some things that my daughter has worn and played with ❤ If I can get rid of 50% of my cupboard board I'll be happy. Unfortunately I'm still climbing over things as I've not been able to do any work on it this week.... Snails are iconic. I have a photo everytime we've gone on them apart from the first time (which I regret!?)
