I like how you keep life simple, low cost and achievable. No fancy stuff just genuine simplicity. Looking forward to your upcoming adventures. You’ve inspired me to take off to ride Portugal, Spain and possibly touch North Africa in a couple of weeks time, so thanks for that otherwise ld be doing the same old thing. All the best for 2023.

Great vid Josh, my view in terms of clipless Vs flats is that you don't have to think/care about where your feet are when your tired or its the middle of the night. The other thing you can do with bigger shops is leave your bike inside by the cashier's.

Great video and love this channel. How do you get a MTB on the train? Would love to do gravel adventures on my MTB but the MTB would be hard to hang on the train hooks and its a major challenge to book a bike on a train - any suggestions? Would love a video on how you get to/from adventures with a bike - often far harder than the ride!

You have to book a bike slot mostly I have found at the time you buy your train ticket BUT bike is free. Major Problem I have encountered is people dumping luggage/cases in the bike spots, A few times I have ended up just leaning MTB up against anything I can and sitting on the floor/someones case with it there...... HTH, Go have fun and enjoy. 🙂

Josh you are one of a kind - could happily never eat a hot meal again! Do you have any interest in doing an event like GDuro or HT550? How have you got on with the train strikes? I thought that's why you might not have one much of late.
@KeepSmilingAdventures Жыл бұрын
Im not really that interested in doing official events i don't enjoy being around lots of people. I will ride them routes though. Train strikes were ok didn't really seem to get caught up in them but the trains out of Bournemouth are basically non existent atm because of that land slip. Was meant to be going away the day that happened 🤦♂️

Very imformative 👍 Are you always on your own or do you have a Drone buddy ? Also when we did the KAW it was a couple of years ago in the July heatwave 35plus , we couldn't find enough water and also to Hot midday what would you do we thought perhaps would have been better ride dawn until the heat gets to much , find shade and perhaps continue late afternoon/evening
@KeepSmilingAdventures Жыл бұрын
i'm always on my own, yeah can be hard to find water along the KAW with the lack of streams, when i was cycling through portugal years ago id set off really early and make use of the cool mornings then hide under a tree and have a siesta. Then ride into the evening.

@The Ginger Cyclist Don't think it's worth it when you add in fuel and time driving. Unless you live near Scotland.

Do you have any friends that ride with you ever? I wish I could go ride with you, we would probably have a lot of fun and make a lot of new friends along our rides. Not all of them would be human .😂
