This is an excellent & informative video. I enjoyed watching ArtWhisper88 lovingly & so gently caring for his gel plate. He has such a soothing voice & calming voice that it invokes a sense of zen energy. Happy crafting everyone!

AW88; Thank you for making and sharing this video. Very informative and I appreciated your use of soapy water to clean residue in the end. VERY HELPFUL to me!

A well burnished strip of clear packing tape will quickly remove the residual dry acrylic. The pastels are more stubborn, baby oil does the trick for sure.

It is amazing how much oil gets absorbed into the plate.

You can use what ever oil you have, baby oil is food grade mineral oil . I'm recommending baby oil because it's cheap and available anywhere.

I use mineral oil because I don't like scents. It's sold near laxatives in most drug stores

May I ask how you prefer to cover/store your plate when not in use please? I have seen so much conflicting advice.

before storing the plate make sure it is clean, put the acetate sheets back on both sides and put it back in the clam shell that it came in. Always store it flat, do not allow anything heavy to rest on it.
