Wish the expansions came with the base games, because all Garphill games you do fill the full potential of the game is unlocked only with the expansions, the base game is nice, but with everything, including bonus cards, collector box and expansions is like a great game.

25:18 I think journeyman allows either freehire & virtue OR hire a hero. it is mentioned by the other player btw. But the current player hires Bishop and also a hero which is wrong 🙂

I have a question, at 17:00 when you get the outside person are you supposed to take the upper right action of the card when you acquire it.?

Never mind, i just realized that action in the top right corner is if you dismiss the person instead of adding to the hand.

Great playthrough fellas! 1 question I have, with the wild manuscript Mike has, could it be moved to make a 3rd full set rather than counting as a grey (which he has thousands of)? Or is it locked in at the time he got it? It could have got him 3 more points than the way he scored it up :) Cheers

Hey there! I should have clearly stated when I placed it that yes once you place it it’s locked in to that color. Had I known I was going to collect every single grey on planet earth I think I would have picked a different color for that wild haha

We're guessing you meant solo, and we're not sure we haven't played it solo yet, but most of Shem's game are fun solo so this is probably good as well

Do these expansions make the game feel a bit better at 2? That was my main problem if the base game despite really enjoying the way it played, something felt missing at 2 compared to 3-

We never minded it at 2 player so we can’t speak to that unfortunately but it definitely gives you fun new things to explore so that might be cooler in a 2 player experience because there are more paths to wander

I also like it at 2, but my biggest complaint was that the ending can REALLY sneak up on you if you aren't careful. My fiance and I played a game last night and burned the deed deck in like 30 mins. We added some more deeds to the stack because we weren't ready to end it yet 😂 seems like this adds enough extra stuff where it might not end so quickly.
