Minneapolis native here...In addition to distillery tours they also do "Blending Masterclasses" where you get to taste each component individually (Irish pot still, Irish grain, and American) and experiment with creating your own blend. I was lucky enough to partake in a class with Brian Nation, David Perkins (founder of High West), AND Kate Doerges (former head distiller for Old Elk)...It was an unforgettable experience. The distillery is a must visit if you're ever in the Twin Cities. Cheers!

I live like 5 miles from the distillery. As far as independent distilleries go, this isn't a small mom and pop operation. It's a big operation and they are swinging for the fences right out of the gates. I'm looking forward to tasting their spirits once they have enough aged stock. Really cool tours, highly recommend.

I work on their forklifts at their distillery, which is how i found out about Keepers Heart. Its by far one of my favorite whiskeys, and i love that i get to support a local business. The people that work there are also truly wonderful people.

I got some secrets out of one of the bartenders at O’Shaughnessy awhile back and apparently (at least when I asked) the Irish whisky in it is 4 year Teeling Single Grain, and the rye is a 4 year MGP! So pretty quality stuff!

Thank you for reviewing so many minnesota whiskeys this past couple months! I've worked in retail/distribution in Wisconsin and minnesota and the whiskey game is really on the come up! Glad you enjoyed this, I got to try it before it was fully released to the market here and it's absolutely amazing with an amazing distillery

Another Twin Cities native here. Your tasting notes match my experience of this one exactly. I can get this locally for anywhere from $24 to $28, which is an amazing bargain for such a beautiful blend. My liquor cabinet is never without a bottle.

I was at a restaurant in Goehsn, Indiana. I was recommended the 10-year bottle. It was light but had great flavors and was very well-balanced with a long vanilla finish~.

MN resident checking in. The O'Shaunnessy distillery in Minneapolis is also right next to Surly Brewing Co, which is a fantastic brewery with great food and a big concert venue. Back to the distillery, I have the Bourbon+Irish product which is really good. They also have a single malt that I haven't tried.

I must have gotten a bad bottle, because I thought it was awful. Everything I don't like about Irish whiskey and Rye. I thought it just might be me, so I had some friends blind taste it. Same reaction. Which was a shame, I was excited about this due to my love of Midleton Very Rare.

OMG, the whole "Notes, grass, Buttered pastry, floral. is total Horse S***. No whiskey has any of these things. When you buy your "Whiskey for Dummies" books they teach you all these catch phrases to through around to sound sound sophisticated. Whiskey, of whatever version is your preference, is really "How long can I go after taking a shot before I need a chaser." I drink Kentucky whiskey mostly as I like to mix it. I do have favorite "Sippin'" whiskey such as Elijah Craig, Wild Turkey or even Jim Beam's "Devil's Cut". That said I don't smell notes of anything. If the smell makes me a little happy I'm in. Although I like you guys a lot, this is simulated pretention.
