We meet Bonnie who has a deadly grizzly bear as her very own predator pet!
If you could have any wild animal as a predator pet, what would it be?
From Season 1 Episode 1: From cowboys to Hollywood legends this episode has it all, and that’s just the owners. We meet Bonnie and her bears, RC the cowboy and his pet Wildthing, the world’s only tame bison, and venture into Tippi Hedron’s big cat sanctuary Shambala. It’s a dangerous world out there, especially for these exotic animal lovers!
Predator Pets - While most of us consider them extreme, thousands of people around the world keep dangerous pets. Look in any major city and it won’t take long before you uncover an animal that just doesn’t seem to belong. From alligators and snakes to wolves, bears, bison, chimpanzees, and more, these unconventional and deadly pets offer an adrenaline-pumping experience you just don’t get with a poodle.
The danger-factor is precisely the attraction. Through interviews with owners, neighbours, vets, zookeepers, town officials, and law enforcement agents, Predator Pets explores whether we’ve crossed the line by keeping these wild animals among us.

Nah, she's not giving the fact that she can't give one on one attention to these wild animals. She shouldn't have the wild animals. Heck, she's got her hands full with all of domestic ones! Treadwell thought he was connected to the bears..this is wrong for any individual who feels they make great pets.

Was waiting for the Grizzly in the title that never showed up. And the narrator mentioned early on that "bears are one thing, but apex predators are another and deserve another level of respect" (or something along those lines) bears ARE apex predators, even the black bears that she owns. People "own" these animals for selfish reasons. So much more I could say, but that pretty much sums it up.

Agree re selfish...They finally feel an identity is the common denominator I see with these type of people and love the effect they can create by people being in awe of seeing them get so close.

They're only wild animals when they are in the wild . Once raised by humans they are no longer wild , they're domestic. Now that doesn't mean that they can't and or don't have primitive instincts that can't harm/kill us. But I have primitive instincts and can kill you just the same! They just said the statistics of bear attacks vs dog attacks and the dogs was higher right? Then the human that kill human deaths are multiple times higher than the both added together. So do we call those people wild humans? 😂 Wild animals? 😂

I really like Bonnie. She’s rescued all of these animals, unlike others who intentionally get them for their own egos. She has a good head on her shoulders, remains aware they’re predators and doesn’t try to sugarcoat it or act like she can do anything she wants with them. Some owners would’ve wanted to show off for the cameras and gone into the white tiger’s enclosure, rather than “read the room”. Not that something couldn’t happen to her, but she obviously picks up on their moods/body language - except for Pebbles, like she said, lol.
@jamesdoakes4956

She was showing off for the camera too by feeding them and making them stand for treats. N it’s not gonna end well. She knows nothing about bears. What’s gonna happen when the male maxes puberty and needs to mate. He won’t find a mate. He’s not fixed. He’ll get aggressive. She probably doesn’t even know breeding season for them

@@jeffcampbell2710 I think anyone with an ounce of common sense know they can kill her easily,as does Bonnie. However let's hope that does not happen and she get's to enjoy her life with her adopted furry family. I am jealous a bit cos I love Tigers and have done since I was a kid. I would love one as a pet ,but we know they are never really a pet and can turn in a minute and end us,but I do think over time they lose most of the instinct to kill .They have no need to when they are constantly fed and looked after, just need to be careful and read your animals behavour. Good video and fair play to Bonnie and anyone who takes on animals that would probably be put down because they are born into captivity or are nusance or problem animals. May not be natural but if the animals are treated well they don't deserve to be killed

Tippi Hedren is amazing in the movie Roar, which took 7-10 years to film, and carries the powerful message to stop fur trading and the wearing of furs and the use of animal products. It is definitely a movie that everyone should see, in order to appreciate just how deadly these big cats can be. These animals are on a huge game reserve and not kept as pets.

Bison, a keystone species, help create habitat on the Great Plains for many different species, including grassland birds and even many plant species. As bison forage, they aerate the soil with their hooves, which aids in plant growth, and disperse native seeds, helping to maintain a healthy and balanced ecosystem. They’re also social animals, so forcing a wild bison to live in a restricted area without company is very cruel! These self indulgent, ignorant people, actually believe that they’re something special but really they’re just dumb.

Some wild animals are found injured or abandoned from careless previous owners who couldn't afford to feed them or for other reasons and some of them no longer have claws or a way to feed or protect themselves so they can never be safely released into the wild. Many of them must be taken care of as long as they live.

In the 80’s I lived in LA and contacted Shambala to ask if I could visit. They allowed people to drop by with appointment,…never charged admission, but did ask for donation. Was told to park by main gate, then open side gate and walk down small path inside. Sure….that was a mood killer…just drained any desire I had to go there. Ironically about 6 yrs after that I became friendly with girl who had worked there. She stayed for about a year. Said she loved it, but was terrified. It was when the big cats had access to the house and grounds. Best decision I ever made !!!

the whole story here is bizarre, 20 dogs and this large variety of animals, and holding a job ? the care of those animals is already more then just a full time job, the 2 bears are black bears, the other animals might be orphans or where wounded and rescued, cant live in the wild anymore, still, this is a out of hand "hobby" a very costly one as well, a disaster just waiting to happen, it does not take a crystal boll the see the future here,

The Bison seems happy but he may need other bison company as an animal they kind a need that... Annie is a good woman I hope she will stay safe and never have any mishaps pls God. I love animals and respect them love to admire them and would never take them as a pet though. Tippi speaks the truth and dangers. I was attacked by a pet cat out of nowhere years ago on to my head claws and teeth wasn't nice experience u can't trust any animal unfortunately. Good documentary enjoyed it thanks 😊👍

Watching that Buffalo, I knew the danger m I've stood at a fence, watching a heard of 5. The Bull never stopped staring at me. The owner came and ask me not to stand near his fence. Not being an A hole, he just explained how dangerous they are, especially the bull. He said that Bull will Attack in a second, and would if I stood there too long for his liking. And no way could I get away. From dead still to 30mph in one second, he would come thru that fence like it's not there and have me stomped in 3 seconds. He had seen it attack other animals that way. So I never got out of my truck and seldom bothered them again. I grew up around bulls, and bulls thou tame, will kill you. You are not part of his heard.

This is a horrifying video. I am born and raised in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Many black bears. Have heard stories of people thinking they are cute and feeding them off their porch. It never ends well she’s not playing with a full deck. I hope she receives the help she needs before the inevitable happens but I think she won’t because she believes what she’s doing is normal. It’s not she’s not going to have time to say no no no to them or taser them when they have her neck in their teeth. Some people, you just have to shake your head and wonder

I like this lady, wish I was her relative..love Animals like she does, I wouldn't go near the Tiger though they are too playful and that could hurt someday..I'm glad they are going to be looked after if something happens to her..Visitors should not go near them though, that's putting them to a test..Bonnie is very smart, knows what she's doing..There are other folks who have these kind of animals,.one family a mother and son have like ten bears..
