Join us on this exciting marathon where we dive deep into different Predator Pets. Exotic animals that have to live their lives outside of their natural habitat and more
What do you think of the size of Marc's animals cages? Are they too small, or just the right size?
Want to watch full episodes on our channel? Watch them here: • FULL EPISODES | Curiou...
00:00:00 - Episode 4: On the outskirts of a rural Nevada town, Scott and Zuzana live behind 10-foot chain fences; not to protect themselves from intruders, but to protect intruders from their surprising pets. Dave and his dog Alice have an incredible bond, but Alice is no ordinary dog; she’s a dingo, Australia’s largest apex predator. Join us in Ken Foose’s Exotic Pets Store, Las Vegas, where you can find everything from ferrets and hedgehogs, through to snakes, giant spiders, scorpions and venomous lizards.
00:00:00 - Episode 5: Who knew that one incident in small town Zanesville Ohio, would lead an unpredicted legal change in surrounding states in the US. One man’s drastic action to set loose his vast collection of exotic animals opened up a chaotic animal massacre that made global headlines over night. After exploring the tragedy of Zanesville, this episode of Predator Pets travels to Las Vegas to get up close and personal with the Monkey Whisperer Lisa Whitaker and her long time capuchin companion Mugwhy. We then adventure on to the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park to visit Joe, the exotic animal conservationist and country musician. This episode takes you on a rollercoaster ride showcasing very different exotic animal owners.
00:00:00 - Episode 6: This week’s Predator Pets deals with some of the most ferocious predators on the planet. Wolves may be the ancestors of our most beloved house pet, the dog, but they’re far from being an animal you can cuddle up with on the couch. The circus is now a controversial environment for exotic animals, but Australia’s longest running family circus know that the Lion Tamer is still guaranteed to draw gasps from the crowd. In the 1980s, Randy Miller was known as an animal stuntman with a unique talent and a unique connection to some very special animals. Since 2008 he’s better known as the owner of Rocky, the 400-pound bear who killed his cousin during a photoshoot.
Predator Pets - Alligators, snakes, wolves, bears, and more, these deadly pets offer an adrenaline-pumping experience you just don’t get with a poodle. Have some pet owners crossed a line by keeping these wild animals in their homes? Predators Pets investigates extreme pets and the danger-factor that their owners see as a positive rather than a problem.

Thats basically everyone that owns an animal. They care about themselves and their feelings. Not the animal. If people truley cared about animals we would let them live their true lives and stop tearing down all of their habitats. Even people that own dogs or cats treat them the way they want to treat them. Not the way the animals want to be treated. Then they claim feeding them man made food and giving them a man made house makes up for it. Then when dogs or cats dont respect their human rules they get rid of them. Even the people that keep them expect them to follow rediculous rules all day and dont let them live anything close to the life they want. Just because they happy when you give them treats and pet them or give them attention doesnt mean they have a great life. They need way more than that. Just like the animals and reptiles in this video do.

The Zanesville deal was sad from start to the bloody finish. People knew he was mentally and emotionally unstable. Noone did a thing. Experts told law enforcement how to handle the loose animals and these Experts were ignored. The sad thing is some of the animals were headed back to their enclosures as they knew they would be fed. Law enforcement killed them anyway. This was a sad example as why people should not keep wild animals. Sanctuaries are here for a reason. It did change the law in Ohio, however!

I don't think anybody should own exotic animals. EVER! I hate to even have them in Zoo's. Many of these animals travel a 60 mile radius or more. Same goes with snake owners. Poor snakes are kept in a box and most often times a very small box. Sad. I witnessed something very sad and scary. I had my 3 year old grandson with me and I took him to the very very small community zoo. They had a Bengal tiger. What a majestic animal. Anyway, the tiger was in such a small enclosure it was circling. When me and my grandson went up to his cage....Just chain link no other guards to prevent people from getting closer. The tiger immediately came over to us. He stretched his whole body on the fence, my gosh he was huge. Then.....he came down and ROARED....I swear we could FEEL the vibrations of that roar in our chests. That tiger was looking at my grandson like dinner. We both got out of there and never to return.

Snakes are actually fine. Snakes only move around for food. Snakes are fed and do not move around much. This depends on the species, however. Regarding something like a ball python- they are fine. There have been experiments where snakes are given big habitats. Yet they don't move much. They just switch from hot spot to cold spot. I recommend watching Snake Discovery to know more Also I hope that zoo with that tiger got shut down and the tiger taken to a good zoo or sanctuary that provides them a good home

I really appreciate the Trainer at the end. The truth is ANY animal can be dangerous: Wild or Domesticated. I personally don't believe 'Wild' animals should be kept as PETS. I also don't believe everyone should own a dog or a cat. I think you have to be careful of knowing the breed of animal you have so you can properly care for it, the animal should be trained but it's HUMAN should also be TRAINED. Wild captive animals should be left to the _Establishments_ qualified to care for such animals. And I believe some places have had luck RE-TRAINING wild animals in order to release them into (or back into) the 'Wild' where I feel they mostly belong; however, I understand that animals who have been 'de-clawed' or otherwise ALTERED would not survive in the Wild and must therefore be held captive... JUST DON'T MISTREAT THEM!

It’s kind of funny how he claims that other people shouldn’t keep exotics. He seems to preach a very reasonable logical message that people can get behind but in practice he’s doing something completely different, and when I saw the cage that he had that gator in, I thought it was fucking laughable, you know as somebody who lives where gators do in the wild that wouldn’t be sufficient for even a small lizard much less an adolescent gator I mean seriously dude you can’t possibly think that that is an adequate enclosure for it. No wonder she’s stressed and agitated I mean, that’s the least natural habitat. I know it’s difficult to duplicate a natural habitat in captivity completely, but you could certainly do a better job than that and if you can’t, then you shouldn’t have one and that I don’t think people should have exotic animals I just don’t think there’s any reason for it. It’s like these people are inadequate and powerless and every other aspect of their lives so they hoard animals I mean it’s definitely a mental illness it’s a form of hoarding it’s not always stuff sometimes it’s animals. Sometimes it’s both a lot of times it’s both and these animals just don’t belong in captivity no matter what story they preach no matter what good justification they try to use for it there just isn’t one there isn’t one and these people are powerless inadequate, they have nothing so they get behind these exotic animals because it gets them the attention, the notoriety and the feeling of mastery and recognition and feeling special that they could never get any other way. Do you know if they’re like the weakest links and this is their way of overcompensating

@@HoneySparkles2 Yep, that tiger owner in New York didn't like people, so he had tigers, and oops, those grow to adult size, and then there is a serious problem. Besides, do you have any idea how much meat young tigers eat? You really need to spend an awesome amount of money on food, and a tiger vet has higher bills than a cat vet, even for simple vaccinations, so, forget raising a sweet young tiger yourself, you need to be a lot richer than you'd expect. Or you end up with an ill or dying tiger, which is very very sad. Be wiser, say no. Seen the New York video, suppose you are a police officer, scared to death when realising there REALLY is a tiger inside. Laws is one thing, seizing somebodies tiger alive and without any accidents, that is not exactly easy.

I'm alreday enraged with the first dude with the alligator! He is the "so called" reptile expert, however I see an alligator kept under absolute unethical circumstances! Alligators can swim up to 20 miles per day if they have too, I understand that this isn't always necessary and it does greatly depend on some factors such as availability of food, temperature and even the species of the alligator etc. His alligator lives in a tank which is around 3 feet long, 32 inches wide and probably around the same depth!? These circumstances alone would make a young alligator go aggressive. How can you responsibly think that this is a good idea, particularly if you call yourself a reptile expert?!

They will never be do domesticated and shouldn't be. There should be laws making keeping wild animals as pets illegal. There's something missing in people who think they can conquer a wild animal's wild instinct.

Rattlesnakes are cottonmouth vipers are actually sort of up for debate between the two, but it’s definitely not a fucking constrictor I mean yes, they certainly can strike but that’s not how constrictors operate they kill by asphyxiation not their speed and not their venom

Speckled Caiman. "Nasty" and "evil"? It's just an animal that wants to live it's life in it's natural (wild) environment, not in a small cage.

Honestly think the exotic cat rescue place is still not suitable. The tiger at 19:50 is pacing around that tiny enclosure. Classic sign it is way too small that its causing distress. A lot of those animals look overweight from lack of exercise. It's ironic how the narrator describes the 'tiny cages not suitable for them', while this tiger paces in such a tiny enclosure.... He says they came in poorly nourished but creating an environment where they are fed but can't properly exercise is not the same as rehabilitating malnourishment. The fact that he thinks even 2% of exotic cat owners are 'doing a good job' makes me distrust him even more, aside from that he personally has kept big cats as pets. It's better than nothing but it's still not right for what they need and it's sanctioned abuse imo because theres nothing better available. He can say he's rescuing them from bad situations (and they might be worse,) but I think he's essentially keeping those animals as outdoor pets on that property.

Don't Alpha Wolves do that though because the PACK is usually exclusively made up of their own pups, siblings and sometimes even parents? Isn't that a way of keeping the line strong since the Alpha Female is typically the only one coming from OUTSIDE of an _emerging_ pack? Otherwise there would be a lot of 'Inbreeding'.
@partickthompson1164
@partickthompson1164 Жыл бұрын
The alpha wolf theory has been proven to be wrong. Wolves packs are led by the parents for the most part. Also the pack is open that means out side males and females can join and leave at will. There isn't any alpha wolf or beta wolf. Just mom, dad aunts , uncles and the pups. The original study was made by David Mac. In the 1970s. He has since retracted his study.

As a former zookeeper that currently studying zoology, the reason why i never recommend anyone to have any kind pet is because most people will get wrong size of enclosure, wrong diet, have no idea about their pet at all. i used to work in animal sanctuary as zookeeper, and all of the animals in that was once, someone's pets. it's a cruel world. that's why i just never recommend anyone for any kind of pets. if you're ready to have a pets, you will do your own research, prepare everything needed and get the animal.

I can't stand the ignorance and selfishness of these people. That being said, as the long time director of a pit bull dog rescue, I've had experience with "wolf dogs." I believe most have a very small content, but those who have any significant amount are not like dogs. I was glad he said that if he left a wolf unattended in the home when he got back it would be totally destroyed. They also carry over certain fears you wouldn't expect and that can't be trained out of them.... stairs for example. I just think most of it is just selfish and sad.

@28:40 - a detached retina is not painful. I had two at the same time. I think these types of shows overstate things just a tad. @30:00 - actually, it was the police that let the animals out. They had an agenda. Still do.
@jordanalandry1866

A detached retina and itself isn’t painful. However, you don’t just detach your retina without a serious injury, which would result in pain you would have to take a mighty blow to detach your retina. Trust me I’m a physician I know several people who have detached their retina and it doesn’t just happen, so yeah, it would be painful and then it typically results in blindness the retinal injury itself isn’t much painful. It’s whatever injury caused it to detach I mean come on use your brain here.
@carrieleo3121
@carrieleo3121 Жыл бұрын
@@jordanalandry1866 you're a doctor? I'm surprised. Retinas can and do detach without an injury - if you are severely near-sighted like I was. I wasn't blind. It was just blurry. Luckily, I don't have to rely on people who allegedly detached their retinas for facts I can use here. I did it all myself - one summer, just like that - both were detached.
