from 1966? So clear! Seems like from way later just in Bn W. I have noticed this about old Australian clips and photos. They had better cameras available to the public from very early on. These show people from the past were just like us. It brings them to life.

Really all film looks as clear as this. Check out some old Beatles music videos, they look great. The only reason why film always looks bad to us is because we usually watch them on a digital device, and the film was most likely digitized from a degenerated version, not the original film.

Yes, I used to take a 5 prong hand spear to the beach. Today I would get arrested before I got on the train.

I'm from Himachal it's a state in Northern India and it's not anywhere near a coast so I'm curious about those kids with spearguns at the beach. Is that still a thing?

Can Bot no it’s not still a thing. This generation of kids have (generally) been brought up too stupid to be able to be let loose with spearguns. A lot of the kids in this video would have been at the beach by themselves - no adults. We would have been gone all day with no adult supervision and we would have done it every day throughout the school holidays. Most kids these days would get themselves into some kind of trouble eventually because they just don’t have the skills and common sense kids did years ago.

You couldn’t be more wrong. From after the WWII till the 70s, thousands of migrants arrived by boat loads from Europe. In 1973, the White Australia Policy ended and Australia opened its doors to Asia and the rest of the world.
