Vehicle should be hosed off first, to prevent scratching the paint and plastic trim and lenses. Otherwise, good reminder.

I got mine tested yesterday because ive been getting a wrench light lately they said I just need to clean my sensers and it should be good to go but didn't tell me which senser to clean

Following a wet snowstorm, when I attempted to activate the Smart Cruise Control on my 2017 Hyundai Elantra, the information display informed me that the Smart Cruise and Automatic Emergency Braking systems were disabled due to a problem. Pulling off at the next exit, I found a tiny icicle hanging down the front of the radar sensor panel. Clearing the icicle solved the problem.

Thanks Jennifer. Our 2017 Acura MDX went crazy last winter when snow buildup covered the front emblem, which houses the frontal radar. We pulled into a rest stop and wiped down the front of the vehicle and all was well after restarting it. As for the cameras up at the tops of wind shields, not all car’s wipers clear in front of them. They did on our Subaru Forester, but do not completely on our MDX.

Went in the heavy snow yesterday and now blind spot system inoperative message is being seen although the rear bumper is clean.

I find myself cringing every time you rub dirt into the clear coat. I would definitely recommend to people to rinse their car first.

I really thought I was going to learn something her but I was wrong sadly it was click bait. Wow take the car to the car wash. But what about the rest of the people who live through conditions of freezing snow and ice freezing up windows and wiper blades so I gotta pull over every 10 miles to make sure my sensor All around are clear and clean. Great hack for those scenario as you advertised.

Please explain how come a lidar system can be blocked by mere dirt?

Lidar uses laser imaging. If dirt obscures the laser(s), the system can't see

Lidar is light detection and ranging. If a dirty can block your camera or headlamps, then it can block lidar. It isn't "mere" dirt, it's an occlusive media.

if you gonna buy a car like this in the north,....you better think twice. Unless you don't bother to come out of your car every 10 miles, in the highway, end of January, - 20 F, dirt snow and hard ice everywhere... BTW.. just got an ALtima rental (october 2020 - not even winter), and I just cant use the cruise control for 4 h, highway, sunny day, 55F, empty road,... because the "frontal radar is blocked".... yeah...right... I figure it could be the oxygen from the air that is upsetting the car.

lol!.....wouldnt it have just been better to run the car through a car wash?..After all,.... rubbing that gritty sand will scratch the paint and the camera lenses and if you can afford to buy a car with all these added features,...then why cant you afford a car wash instead of just a bucket and a sponge?......lol!......it seems so funny that she is only interested in cleaning the sensors and to hell with the rest of the car and the paint job!....lol!.......

just wash your car you lazy people.... hand wash or drive threw..... it will save your vehicle from rust AND it will clean the sensors too
