This always reminds me of Keele allnighter in the 90s which was great period for the scene.

For me , this is one of my top Motown tunes ever. Full on dancer, great uptempo beat, great lyrics and a floor filler every time I played it. One of those groups from Motown who were underrated and made some great dance tunes. Worth checking out there catalog where you can find some great tunes from them . K t f .

The lead singer has an awesome voice .....David . The Motown machine produced so many hits , They overlooked a lot of potential hit records ....

The Great DJ s on CKLW (The Big 8) a (Legal, Not Pirate) , Border Blaster , in Windsor, Canada often played this . This high-power station which played solid Motown could be heard across the North East USA and even reached Europe on Winter Nights .

Never understand why this wasnt a massive hit for the Monitors ....

Agree....Seems Motown pretty much ignored or overlooked all their "second tier" artists. This is simply a great song...should've been huge!

First played on The Big 8 Border Blaster CKLW in CANADA ! Yes , not Detroit, because the US radio stations were limited to 50K watts of power. CKLW drowned out all the other Motown stations, and like WKBW could be heard on dark winter nights as far as Sweden and UK . It Bombed ! The Lead Singer is Richard Street who was demoted to the Motown accounts dept because he couldn't sing ! When one of the Temptations dropped out , he filled in. The Rest Is History. For Me the best Northern Soul Song Ever.
