This was a comeback hit for them in the UK,when it reached number 7 in the singles chart here in mid-1975. Being 10 years old at the time,it reminds me a bit of going away on holiday with the family that summer so I must have heard it played on the radio a bit around then. Always nice to hear from young people who adore this song. You might also like my solo piano cover of this Northern Soul banger, available on my new KZbin channel called The Piano Mod. Feel free to check it out. And check out these following tunes. Maybe you like them as much as The Night: Williams and Watson - Too Late Rita & the Tiaras - Gone with the wind is my love Timebox - Beggin (originally done by Frankie Valli)

@@antonioelpro27 It gets played during the documentary, and then again at the end credits. Perfect song for it - I can hear where Blur grabbed a bit of inspiration from it too in terms of the baseline and that post-chorus pause.

It's been years scince I last heard this song. My mother always used to play old songs like this one to my brother and me when we were small. A lot of memories come back listening to this.
