I'm not suggesting that you guys pick a side, but Dave originally said that Cornette would not condone fans jumping the ring hours before Omega went on Twitter and blamed Cornette for the "Fat Bastard" incident. When Dave saw the Omega tweet, he changed his opinion and agreed with Omega. Dave's the only one not keeping it 💯. Cornette means every word he says on his podcasts, etc. Jim isn't changing his opinion for anyone but himself.

This is a prime example of not knowing what you are talking about. You can think that Cornette's rants on AEW are toxic but the fact of the matter is he defended Meltzer vehemently when others were being critical. He simply stated that he no longer understands Meltzer's taste in wrestling but respects him greatly as a journalist. It wasn't until Dave started taking shots at Cornette behind his back that Cornette started to retaliate in a more abrasive manner. You can hate Cornette all you want but Meltzer started this one.

Absolutely. And unlike, say, Bischoff and Pritchard, who absolutely despise Meltzer for frequently flagging up their BS, Cornette didn't want to be hating on Meltzer. But when you start rewriting history solely to stroke Kenneth Omega and the Young Bucks' fragile sense of self-worth (or their puny little winky-dinks) you become a total asshole. First of all, some guy rushing the ring is not news. They should have just laughed about it. Second, it is possible the guy who rushed the ring is paid by AEW to do just that. Third, Cornette came out with the video calling Omega out for being friends and doing business with a sexual predator, and Dave doing this takes the heat off of that. Fourth, how come nobody comes out and says that their is a good chance that Omega and Dave have a sexual relationship.

I will add a couple extra things. Even Jericho pointed out Cornette is the last person who'd tell a fan to rush the ring. Second, Meltzer did take a few digs with Cornette responding. I don't know who started it, but it's gone out of have. According to Cornette, Meltzer still sends friendly emails trying to be buddy buddy when Cornette has said stop. Three last thing is, even Meltzer wrote the article where he laid the blame on Cornette and Russo, he did a blatant comparison of Cornette and Trump. I may see that but would never make a public statement like that where Cornette would see it. I know his disdain for Trump. That's really a good way to send him over the edge.

The fan tweeted the next morning that he did it for Cornette and Russo. He was trying to gain attention for himself, and Kenny Omega (AKA Twinkletoes McFingerbang) made comments blaming Cornette publicly, based on the fan's tweets. Uncle Dave initially said that the fan was crazy and Cornette had nothing to do with it, but then started blaming Cornette after Omega did. Cornette has spoken many times on his show about kicking fans' asses when they tried to get in the ring. He has never advocated fans rushing the ring in any way, shape, or form, nor has he suggested that anyone should rush the ring at an AEW show. Cornette's biggest issue with Uncle Dave is his relationship with Omega and the Bucks. Meltzer has interjected himself into numerous conversations that Cornette was having with other people about those three, or even AEW in general if it led to Cornette criticizing them in any way.

Meltzer is just a person that provides information and Bryan and Vinny provide the personalities and entertainment for their website. Cornette is informative about history and has an amazing personality that brings a lot of entertainment to the listener. I think Meltzer is jealous of Cornette's popularity over the last few years as he probably has a larger number of fans than Meltzer does. He constantly takes unnecessary shots at Cornette and just can never keep Jim's name out of his mouth.

I’m not sure I agree with disco in saying that cornette is on the offensive when it comes to this beef. Cornette and meltzer were friends and had been for years, cornette then started reviewing AEW related stuff on his podcast and that made meltzer literally bash everything bad cornette has to say about it, specifically topics related to wrestlers like the young bucks and kenny omega. Meltzer does this directly or indirectly and has since used cornettes time at ring of honour as a tool to throw shade at cornette and discredit his opinions. Cornette apparently tried multiple times to talk to Dave privately, before taking it public (as he tends to do) but it was in retaliation to Dave making indirect or direct backhanded comments about him. Recently cornette has exposed the fact that Dave still emails cornette in a friendly manner even after everything that’s happened between the two as if he’s on some jekyll and Hyde shit. I think disco is basing his opinion on what happened between cornette and Russo by saying he’s on the complete offence. By all accounts, it’s clear that he’s not, I don’t know if he started it but meltzer sure does seem like an obsessed ex girlfriend. If it’s a work and they’re just trying to get drama clout for each other then your guess is as good as mine but it just seems genuine, cornette has had a podcast for years and has brought on meltzer, why didn’t this happen before?
