Sheridan Gallagher sent off for a very bad challenge on Jynaya Dos Santos and will now face another suspension and that was 7 minutes after she was yellow carded for another bad challenge

Looked brutal at the first sight but on replay it can be seen that she's at least not going feet first into that challenge. Similar to what Logarzo did to an opposition keeper a few weeks back and she was not dismissed for that. But if Gallagher had already been booked by then, the ref had no choice, of course

I think this game was totally worth hosting at this larger stadium, some great goals and saves in it. Gallagher could be a pretty good player by the A-League standards - I believe she's Newcastle's top scorer at the moment and having lost Bolden and Ayres, Newcastle are in terrible need of firepower up front - but she just keeps doing those things that the refs can't put up with

Fatigue likely played a part in Gallagher's fouls. She's not a dirty player, but she's good for 70 minutes at most.
