It’s not my intention to convince or judge anyone’s position or conviction. I apologize to the channel that my expression with good intentions resulted in negative responses. My intention was not to start a conversation about the rights and wrongs of our great military but just to acknowledge my pride in those who choose to serve especially in today’s all volunteer military. Some of us did not choose to serve however most served with honor and integrity whether they volunteered or were drafted. As a combat veteran, I agree that combat is not cool. In fact those who were involved in combat were likely changed forever. Now we struggle to survive as our personal combat continues.

I went to the Culver Summer camp when I was ages 8-10. It was and is still such an awesome place. You feel like a family there. All of my family (aunts, uncles, cousins, parents, and siblings) have all gone there and we all feel so connected there. I got the same reactions when I would tell my friends about a 6 week military camp. It sounds quit aggressive, but I wouldn't of changed it for the world. I met so many good people there, the counselors are amazing! I am still constantly in touch with my favorite counselor there. It is for real the best place ever. Culver, Indiana is a great place and that's so amazing for Carson.

2 things in the greater Chicago area that High Schooler's love sports wise, LaCrosse and Rowing. Every school we ever saw had them. I was born and raised in Chicago and spent 47 of my 57 years there and I never once was on the Skyway. I was a Tollway monster, yes the mad race, Ipass and all still use it because we travel back to see our Son and wife all the time. Saves money and time for sure. Much easier to whip through an ipass lane at 75 than wait in line. They do have Cameras on each Clerk also. Seeing you guys go through these life changes brings back so many memories. Each of our kids off to College now all in their mid 30's and our Daughters have 5 great kids between them, that's fun! Our Son didn't want Children and they do so well and are so happy, you have so much more great exciting things a head. Good Luck to Carson and to you guys. We've found that Western Iowa isn't so bad at all, no place like home for sure but it's also where you find Peace and Happiness.

That is so cool that Carson is interested in that way of life for his future. I so wanted to go to a school like that, but it didn’t happen. I ended up with 31 years in the U.S. Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserve regardless. Both you two and Carson will be so glad that he went that route and in time it will prove to be the best for the long term. Most individuals who attend those kind of schools have a MUCH better outlook on life and they tend to appreciate where they’ve been and what they have earned than many who just wanted to get buy in school so they could do nothing worthwhile. Wishing you all the best of luck and maybe we’ll see you on the road when we start our own RVing lifestyle next spring.
