When my son accepted his USAFA appointment he said, 'do you know what is cooler than flying an F-35? ..... NOTHING!!!' Graduated last May as the Thunderbirds flew over. Nothing else like it. These Q & A's need to be more often. Its great to see your kids become young adults. And after watching this episode i realized, in the near future, there will be three more YT channels to follow. :-)

I'm one of those guys that sent you an email stating I was spending years saying "I'm gunna buy an RV" (someday)... We bought ours November 2017 100% due to watching you all not have a clue what you were doing (at the beginning), which inspired us to dive in. We do not "full time", but being location independent for work allows us to be anywhere for my job. Ironically, we have also found that we don't have to take long journeys to "live our daydream", just parking for a week overlooking the ocean or desert is all we need. Most of our locations are a day or less from our house. We both 100% plan to RV full time when we retire since all we do when we are not RVing is plan on where to go next. Thank you both for actively nudging your viewers to go for it, because we are. See you next week.

Thanks for making the "do it now" idea so important in your videos. I took my mother and father camping, picnicking and just for drives. Many times we just thru our stuff in the car and went. I lost my father last July and my mother has ALZ and is blind now. I am sooooo glad that I have those memories and took the leap to start small. I told my father about my dream to live full time on the road and to my surprize the told me he thought it was a great idea. I look forward to seeing your videos and travel ideas. My husband and I bought a grand design travel trailer in late 2018, started camping locally in 2019 (weekends and summer vacation). We love it, love the time to get out together with our teenage son and occasionally our granddaughter. We were going to wait a few years before starting and my husband said "why wait?". Thanks to your good advice I was able to be spontaneous and start having fun right away.

Hi guys, a few things. First Mark, skiing... I love to ski too, I have found that I need to reserve a few days, probably 50% in my case, for solo skiing. This lets me ski hard and fast, hit bumps and steeps, without making the people I love who I ski with utterly fed up with me. Luckily for me my step brothers are in the same space so I do have some ski buddies to hang with. Second, Trish I really like your concept of letting people have their own trip. I do my best to live my life consciously and intentionally. I think letting others experience life in their own way is a big part of this. What a fantastic way to be, thanks for vocalizing and clarifying it for me. Finally, change... Sometimes we can plan the change like you two have so successfully done. Sometimes change comes into your house, throws you to the floor and kicks you in the head. Either way, the only way forward is to embrace it, keep moving forward, and try to grow. The two of you and your kiddos helped me to keep moving forward while I was on the floor getting kicked in the head over the past four years. You made a difference. You helped me find a path to take. You pretty much, with a few others, taught me how to RV. Now I have some serious miles behind me I feel like a veteran. Thanks so much for that. Safe travels and happy trails to you and yours. Greg

You were mentioning about letting your family do their own things while Rving: In our case have had a Tent trailer, a travel trailer, and now a motorhome. The best one that has worked for our family is our 26' motorhome. And the reason it works for us is that our kids can still do their own things while we travel. If the kids want to sleep in while we drive early in the morning we let them. If they want to get a snack, go to the bathroom, etc. we let them. For me what makes it all worth while is when they are still in their PJ's, they ask if I want a cup of coffee, come up to the front and just sit and talk while we drive or are stopped overlooking a view. Those are one of those special unforced moments that we love.

I love watching your adventures. After becoming disabled about 3 1/2 years ago . My family and I did few trips before my accident that I’m so happy we did when we did because I don’t know that I would be able to those trips again . Then this year we found out my wife has cancer of the lung . I’m not writing this for sympathy or to be a downer just to tell people everything can change in a blink of an eye. So do the things you want to do while you still can do them because you never know when things can change . So my wife’s cancer is stage two so she has a chance with surgery and chemo to have a chance for remission. And I’m hoping to continue my Recovery. So that we can go out and have some new adventures again . So keep up the videos it inspires us to keep moving forward and staying positive. Even during the hard times. Maybe someday you’ll see us out on the road. 😎

I think like a lot of other viewers we bounce in an out of KZbin channels, but i have to say this channel is my go to every Sunday no matter in the world I am at. Heck I bought a VPN and paid an extra $25 a month for more data to watch the Sunday videos in China when i'm working there. Truly love the channel and the content, you're family is a true testament to how great parents you both are. I love Trish's advice about letting everyone have their space and their time when on vacation. It always seems to be a "come on let's go" kind of vacation when you're limited to say a 2 week timeframe. I think RV's are like motorcycles there isn't the perfect one for every type of riding. I've had three different types and each one is missing something the other one has. Anyways I'm buying camping gear for this year, as i don't want to be tied to hotels and booking for this year. Great to see the kids are doing well. I did 10 years in the British Infantry, served in Desert Storm, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, USA, Germany, UK and Canada where I call home now, you're kid will be great in the military. One kid is in China at Nanjing university about to start Photography and film studies like Tory and our daughter is just finishing grade 12. Keep up with the great work on the channel it's great that you let us follow you're adventures every week. I don't think a lot of people know how much work this takes. We weren’t sure if we would like having a beast of a motorhome and two RVs seemed excessive so we ended up being financially smart and purchased a 30ft retired unit from Cruise America. It is a Thor Motorcoach Majestic. It is really fun to learn and experience new things. I give you props for trying the teardrop in winter though. We find our T@b is better for winter camping actually. It just stays warmer and very efficient. It sleeps 3 so it would have been perfect for you.

Mark and Trish you are both very inspiring and very honest about your situation life and family, yet another great video full of great ideas and sound advice. I love the way you both inspire your audience without leading them if you know what I mean. Just fantastic and your kids are just beautiful.

The way you planned and delivered this QA was magnificent. It's no wonder this is the BEST RV channel on YT. Much love from Florida.

I loved this episode for a lot of reasons. I missed the kids. I agree that Mark needs to listen to Tricia more (but not my hubby hahahaa) I got answers to a lot of burning questions! You guys are awesome and I can tell that your kids mean everything to you by how happy you are when they are there. Keep on keeping on! ❤️

We are in the process of getting the house ready to sell, putting things in storage (for another house someday) and I had to have open heart surgery just before Christmas... I had to put things on hold for 2 months while I healed, but we aren't going to let that get us down! We purchased our 40' Monaco "gently used" diesel motor home last year and will be ready to put our house on the market sometime this spring and hope the hit the road full time by summer! You guys have been an inspiration for us and we look forward to following your adventures! Thanks for the inspiration - ya'll have a lovely family! Love and safe travels from north GA!

Oooooo Colorado 🥰 ok guys I’m counting on you, I miss my Colorado mountains (born and raised but been gone for little over a decade) Estes Park, Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, Royal Gorge are some of the Best!!! 💜 go on a sunrise or sunset horse ride (you’ll find them up by Estes usually they take you up on horse and have a meal ready then you ride back down)

This was an awesome video!! It answered soo many questions that I have been curious to hear the answers! I stumbled onto you looking for info about PEI and Nova Scotia and now I am addicted. We just got back, a little early cuz of Hurricane Lee. We had a wonderful time, such a beautiful area! We have been camping since the 90's with our children and now grandchildren. You do such a great job bringing people into your adventures with info, comedy and family life! Thank you

ALWAYS get a lot out of your videos. I enjoy them from beginning to end.....the invaluable information, the sights and sounds, the BEAUTIFUL scenery. It was great seeing you all together and each one’s Q&A. I look forward to checking out your reading list too. This was a great “refocusing” opportunity for me. Thanks! My mind is spinning with renewed excitement.

15 years working for Placer County I would go up to Tahoe City and Kingvale, usually every other month....truly an amazing place to visit and live!

While I LOVE to live vicariously through your travels, seeing parts of the world I may never visit, this is one of my favorites! Figuring out how to get on the road is one of our biggest struggles. Unfortunately our current income isn't home or remote option. As an encouraging personality I feed on all of this encouragement that the two of you put out. The segment with Tori was so good.... trade-offs in life happen. The letter to Carson and the 25/75 living. Thank you!!!

Ok my favorite part is at the 20 minute mark when you two are talking about letting your family members have their individual trip. And not be a tyrant and also let your kids experience days that are not always having a “10!” for their day. Thank you for sharing that life experience with us!

Great video! Love what you said about letting everyone have there own experience. I really believe that is why our family has such a good time traveling and making memories!

The podcast you mentioned was awesome. You both covered so much ground while just having a conversation. I pray that teacher got a wealth of knowledge, cause I sure did. Thank you for everything you do to make us smarter and happier.
