had the same issue with the stickiness, Surprised with the amount of gunk I had on the shaft the shifter was connected to. Great video mate.

Kyle O'Hennessy thanks Kyle, Yes it's surprising how much crap gets flung info the lever shaft off the front wheel, I now do mine every month to prevent it sticking.

Had the same problem! Lots of winter riding! Just took it apart and cleaned it all up and put it back together and it’s all solved!

I had done this on mine, it's a bit fiddly but you can do it, I used the rear foot pegs, remove the footboards, then I bolted it onto the front, took about 4hrs all in I'd say as I hadn't done it before.

I'm having this exact problem, I've only just noticed it a few days ago. Gonna give it a bloody good clean and hope for the best. The first thing I thought was it seems like rubbish return spring

I've just brought one today and on the first ride, the gear lever snapped on me, after checking it out I found the grub screw to be finger loose. Was this the reason why it broke? I've just purchased the new part and don't want the same problem. Any recommendations/help. Thanks

It should just screw back in unless its completely snapped, the after sales warranty stuff can be a pain in the arse if your dealer is a bit naff, Chinese parts online hold a good stock. The build quality on these bikes isnt great and I'd thoroughly recommend going over all your bolts adding Threadlock to them, the wee circle of metal under the tank is prone to vibrating loose and making a noise. parsons hahaha yeah...easier said than done lol I used to flick it in just before I stopped moving, otherwise your doing a rain dance at the lights on yer bike. Lol

Thanks Steven,I had adjusted the bar both ways but no joy. When I removed the clip at the pedal, and the nut at the at the selector end I got the assembly almost off. There is a bolt stopping the mechanism coming off completely but enough to give the shaft a right good clean,it was manky,and lubricate. I took it for a five minute run and it was fine. Fingers crossed its good to go tomorrow morning for college 😂

If you haven't done one in the last 6months follow my how to video, you can adjust the clutch cable a bit or replace it, could also be the Clutch plates are earing out and need replaced, I haven't done it on this bike, search for a how to remove a bike clutch and go from there. Hope it helps. 😁

No idea mate? Unless...I'd imagine you hook up a USB Connector to the battery and then a sat nav/phone mounted to the bars, there are loads of phone holders on EBay and you can buy 9v usb chargers to hook there too.

Great video Steven. Helped me a lot. Is there any way to make clutch less sensitive? Like in bicycle breaks, you can make them hard or soft when pressing.

Hi Aislinn 007 I know you can Adjust the cable but usually it's used if your clutch is slipping or needs a small tighten, if in doubt swap it out, won't hurt to get a new one, check your clutch plates too if you can.

Have you ever had any problem getting neutral? My wife has bought one of these after doing her CBT and finding neutral on the bike is a nightmare.

The easiest way is when you are in first gear, pull the clutch, play lightly with the throttle (max. 30km/h) and then lightly depress the clutch pedal with your foot.

hi steven watched your video very good i noticed you've taken your foot pads off and put pegs on i dislike the pads and would like to do the same where did you get the pegs and do they bolt straight on easily cheers

Hi Jonas Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated 😀 I took the Rear Pegs off, dismantled them leaving just the peg part. Then took the footpads off leaving the brackets on, then lined up the peg to the front of the pad bracket (I think 🤔) then bolted the peg to the bracket, if you get me, no welding, pretty sure that's how I did it as I don't have the bike any more.

I used the long bolts from the foorpads, drilled a hole in the side of the peg, put the bolt through it, then one through the peg downwards into the bracket, or you can weld them on, far easier, although I'd get some steel ones to weld on, as the originals are Aluminium, welds better steel to steel but steel to Ally is a nightmare.

Hey! This video is hopefully going to solve my issue, I cleaned it New Year’s Eve and rode the next day and have this stiffness issue where it sticks and I have to move it myself to be able to go up and down my gears….I didn’t clean it any differently than usual apart from using chain lube on my chain and now it’s done this…could that be connected? Or is it maybe just from the general clean itself maybe? This may be a stupid question but worth asking anyways haha!! Thank you for your video, going to try it in the morning!!

I discovered it by accident as mine kept sticking like yours, I had to move it down from the up positition it stuck in without changing back down, after I stripped it out and cleaned it properly then lubed up I had no further issues with it, worthwhile doing every few months as dirt and grease will keep being flung at it, hope it solves your issue, thanks for watching 😀
