wonderful... Finally I could hear the 3 of them and compare.

I mean, the LS60 are certainly the best of that lineup, but they also cost $7k USD, which is, well, a lot. They're convenient because you don't have any additional receiver or amplifier to deal with, which saves you money, in a way, and they sound fantastic even without a sub, which isn't something I can say for the LS50 and LSX series, which are competent but still require additional bass reinforcement. Basically, of this lineup, the only speaker I'd be interested in owning would be the LS60. Personally, though, I'd probably just buy something else and a streaming amp so I don't need to bother with wireless active speakers, but I understand that not everyone is as willing to keep around a large amplifier to power their speakers. The LS60 are also the ultimate in minimalist design, so they are ideally suited for people who have a mid-century modern minimalist design and want to have as few large electronic boxes cluttering up their furniture as possible. I know people love the LSX series and LS50 Wireless series, but every time I've heard them I've been disappointed. They just have more treble gain than I can handle given the amount of bass they put out. They aren't nearly as ice-pick like as some of B&W stuff or Klipsche stuff can be, but they're far more fatiguing compared to the LS60, which are tuned quite a lot more like my current speakers, which are the KEF iQ90 from the early 2000's. Apparently they can't do what they did for the LS60 in any smaller of an enclosure, though, since the DSP is already required to cope with the lack of cabinet space for the four high-excursion Uni-Core drivers (two paired drivers, four effective drivers). So an LS50 with Uni-core drivers will never happen, unfortunately.

Nice video, great quality well done! Just bought second hand LS50W ii with matching stands. LS60 was the plan but my wife really did not like them in our living room. The 50's on stands in satin white she likes. Plan is to sell all Sonos surround set up and go for the KC62 sub.
@rj72632 жыл бұрын
@@Shishiku91 got the KC62 second hand added to the LS50W II. The integration is really good and easy to set up. This is my 5th sub and only the Monitor audio 15" DSP (huge sub) controlled had more oempf... The KC62 is really a tiny object and is more then enough powerful and sounds very musical. For electronic music I have to dial it down 6dB, way too much and deep bass on standard setting.

Is the LS50 Wireless II seriously this much better sounding than LS60, also in real life? I love the openness of the vocals compared to the LSX II and LS60. I own and listen to this video through a pair of LSX II and can clearly hear a huge difference between LS50WII and the other two. If this is how they actually sound, I think LS50WII is way better than the LS60.
@Truthspeaking Жыл бұрын
I have listend to these both in a HiFi-store and LS60 is better for larger rooms. It plays more high res in total in terms of details, but what I noticed the second I started listening go the LS50WII was: they should have put the LS50WII tweeter on the LS60 for creating a perfekt speaker.. They use the same tweeter as the LSX II on the front as I understand it on the LS60, which was one of the reasons I wasnt blown away with the LS60, even though they were very good. Also, the room in which the LS60 was played was rather hugh and open, yet it had no problems at all filling the room even at lower volymes (under 50 % volume). So the amps in LS60 makes it play more detailed than LS50WII, but the tweeter is better in the LS50WII. I could hear it in the more open vocals from singers, though not at all as clear as in the video above. LS50WII sounded hollow/ strained/screechy on louder volume than 50 % in that huge room it stood when I compared it with the LS60. At home in a smaller room, they both might sound different and (both of them) better.
